I'm thinking of getting a few dreads...

I'm thinking of getting a few dreads instead of my whole head. um how long would i have before i wouldnt be able to take them out? thanksss

 

grab a piece of hairs
and start to play with it. rubbing it.
do this a lot. a dread will form.

after about 8 months you won't be able to comb them out.

 

well i have heard of em being combed out much later then that but with alotta loss and damage and hell of alotta painful effort

 

I once had a few dreads in my hair for about a year or so. I was able to comb them out with effort, but the damage wasn't that bad since it was only part of my hair (I actually picked them out with the reverse end of a crochet hook because I couldn't get a comb through them). When I did them I figured worse came to worse I could cut them out since it was only about 5 small sections - but it didn't come to that.
