I usually don't puke that often on any drugs, but when I do its always on opiates. Are there any ways to reduce nasuea or stop it from happening? Are there any OTC medications that relieve nasuea?
have you tried laying down on your side? not on your stomach but on your side, for many people it instantly takes away all the nasuea
best way I have found to reduce nausea on opiates is to eat something about an hour to an hour and a half before you plan on doing whatever. Then when you get down to business .. try and take your stuff in small increments building up .. for example if i had 4 tabs I would eat 2 wait like 45 mins eat another half ect. ect. Also too many liquids seem to be a problem with me as well. I always seem to be thirsty as hell but then I end up drinking too much and have too much liquid on my belly. Just make sure and have some substance on your stomach and take it easy .. you'll figure it out and nausea wont be so much of a problem.
Well I normally take 50mg of hydrocodone (with no tolerance) for a good time and I never puked before. But then just a few days ago I did 50mg and I puked, and then whenever I tried eating something else later that night I would just puke it back out. I did chug the whole syrup at once, normally I drink half, wait a few minutes and drink the other half so maybe I had to much to quick? I also ate while I was sort of on the comedown, could this be a factor too? I want to do it again but I do no want the god aweful nausea/vomiting that follows.
yeah ^ you could also buy a ginger drink, or some ginger ale. ginger is supposed to help with nausea.
milk beforehand or Dramamine(sp?) work wonders. The motion sickness medication really helps when you feel sick afterwards.
dramamine 45 minutes before dosing helps nausea and potentiates a bit. tums and pepto are good for the stomach. milk lines the stomach and helps.
Immobile patients on opiates experience far less nausea than those who are mobile, and it's therefore recommended that you lie perfectly still to prevent nausea on opiates. Peppermint or ginger tea is also great, as these are natural and potent antiemetics (prevents puking/nausea), as is marijuana. I find that scrolling around on a computer screen or looking at moving things/blinking lights increases nausea for me, so I try to do something else that's not straining on the eyes...opiate nausea seems to stem from dizziness/head pressure changes more than stomach-related issues, so this usually helps. So does eating something bland to fill my stomach.
To avoid nausea, I usually sniff enough of whatever to get me nice and dreamy, then wait like a 1/2 hour and then finish it. I've only puked 3 times off opiates, twice with 3 7.5 vics and 3 beers, just 3 7.5 vics, and at the end of a speedball after like 20 of cocaine and a bag and a half of heroin.
The feeling of getting sick form opiates will go away after time the more and more you get use to it. I use to get sick for maybe the first year or so after I would get nice and high eather on Dope or OC's, The more and more I keep fucking wioth them even and using them the less when I got nice and high I would feel sick. Actually I wish Dope would make me puke again. back in the day I could not keep nothing down when I was high even after doing only one bag of Herion sometimes, I would puke even a cup of water up. Shit now I can shoot up an bundle and eat a 3 corse meal after-LOL-Actually I use to love getting sick on opiates and miss it. It was not that bad of a feeling at all and you feel so dam good after you puke and refreshed.
Genus post my friend, I was starting to feel some nausea a few minutes ago so I searched nausea and found this thread and after reading your post I realized that I too drink a lot of water and that the net surfing was making my head hurt, so i went to lie down on my side and it went away almost instantly it was almost weird but I'm glad I read this, I'll use it every time I start getting some nausea.
Puking will get rid of it and make you feel amazing. As long as you don't make a habit of it there is nothing wrong with it. If you don't feel like doing that, weed will pretty much get rid of it. If that's not an option, lying down in a cool room and closing your eyes should help a ton.
Too true, addiction always makes the nausea go away I don't know what the drug will be called over there in the US, but Buscopan-Hyoscine Butylbromide (A treatment for Irritable Bowel Syndrome) gets rid of nausea and stomach cramps, it also stops them if you're doing a detox or cold turkey.
