Do all opiates make you itch? I've only tried painkillers (hydrocodone) thus far, which usually make me itch quite a bit. I don't mind it. I just wonder what causes it. Is it the APAP causing it or the hydrocodone itself?
i love the itch, unlike rash or mosquito itch it a blissful itch. all opiates cuz itching. heroin makes me itch like crazy however with every scratch i go to heaven.
I find it to be quite pleasant as well. If anyone truly finds it annoying for some reason, just pop a claritin (loratadine)
morphine has made me itch the most, when i took 120 mg with not much of a tolerance that was the worst itch of my life. hydrocodone never made me itch.
Percocet makes me itchier than vicodin. While I don't find it blissful, it's not annoying like a "normal" itch.
I remember my codeine itches. That was MY first opiate. I think codeine probably makes you itchy more than vics & oxy? Codeine and morphine are in the same class, and usually have more side effects than synthetics, so I believe that is correct.
well the itchies cant be quantified, but i think hydrocodone and oxycodone are both stronger than codeine..
Taking 10mg of Percocet (I'm only 113 pounds and have a moderate tolerance) gives me almost nothing but naseua. Taking 10mg of Vicodin gives me good euphoria for a while and an enjoyable afterglow. I really wish Percs did something for me because they're all I have access to.
10% of caucasians are immune to the effects of codeine o_0 I read that fact on a opiate database, and I found it to be very strange. kil0, I have no way of verifying that codeine itch fact, but since morphine has more side-effects than oxy I assumed codeine would have more side-effects as well, since it is combined with morphine to create opium or whatever. Codeine has still gotten me the highest I've ever been.
Codeine was my first opiate. It never made me itch, but I probably had a lower dosage. I'm still itching from the hydro 'binge' I went on yesterday...feel a weird hangover, but it feels good.
10mg of perc wont alleviate a headache for me. 10mg of vicodin is a joke! I weight like 150 but still, my tolerance sky-rocketted after I started using oxy weekly. Lol at your last sentence, its like the complete opposite for me. vicodin is trash for me, but I can get it easily.
The APAP makes the Vicodin shitty...I did a hydro CWE this morning with 6 Vicodin 750mgs (so 30mg hydro) and got high off my ass..the APAP takes away that high feeling to a great extent..but drinking the hydro gave me a huge head rush, then total body rush for about 15 minutes, I just lay there and laugh cause I felt so good...then I felt a bit weaker high but still really pleasant for 4 hours. I'm only 120lbs and am not a regular user (just use them when I get them from a friend or relative). How long does it take to become addicted, btw? I've been on a sort of binge since I ran out of my other stuff (pot) for 3 days so far. I did this once before, and felt depressed for a few days after I ran out, and it felt like my whole body hurt, especially my back and joints. I wonder if it's just psychological or actually physiological, or both.... I know I have to be a bit careful because I love opiates like no other drug I have tried.

By the way, all opiate based drugs are refined from Opium, first Morphine base is extracted, this is used to produce Morphine/Heroin, the stuff that's left contains Codeine, Pepeverine e.t.c this stuff is refined into painkillers. All opiates will make you itch to some extent, Morph and H used to make me itch like I had fleas or something!
