I live in Antioch, IL. Chevelle was formed in Grayslake, IL - 10 miles from my town Local H was formed in Zion, IL - 15 miles away A scene from the remake of Amityville Horror was filmed on Main Street, you can see my Grandparent's business in the background. There's more, but I don't have time. I'll post later. What's famous/interesting about your hometown?
Rue McLanahan's aunt, uncle, nieces, and nephews live here in town (and are pretty close to my family). Ron White claims that he grew up here, but it's a load of crap, he only lived here for like 2 years in elementary school when his dad was building the dam, then they moved. He claims to have been a teen here, but not true. In Amarillo, there's Route 66, the Cadillac Ranch, and a TGI Fridays that Paul McCartney ate at...lol. Brian Deneke was murdered in the parking lot of the mall where my parents used to take me to see Santa every year. Patrick Swayze filmed a scene to one of his movies in the Big Texan steak house, though I couldn't tell you which one. Garth Brooks played a concert in the baseball field, which was pretty crazy, seeing as we never get people even THAT famous to play a venue in Amarillo, let alone at the baseball field of all places.
