Is there any commune, anywhere, that I can just show up at and help clean, garden, do duties or whatever is necessary in exchange for a place to sleep, shower and food to eat? For maybe a month or two? I don't have any money to bring, I would take a job somewhere there if it were available.

I'd like to find people who are of a strong newage persuasion, into the psychedellic spirituality as well. Any fans of McKenna?

I've just been living in the city for so long, doing typical city jobs that I can't even comprehend what it would be like to live away from it, with people that do more than run around like coffee-crazed monkeys with the latest delusion broadcast from television held firmly in their brain while thinking "The secret" (movie) is some profound new insight that is going to aid there long-lost right to wealth. I need to see a different side of it all.

I wanna leave for a while and do something completely different. My main goal, aside from clearing my head and getting in good physical shape, would be to fill as many sketchbooks as possible during this. Also I've had a long interest in getting into some sort of communal living eventually, but have yet to really even visit or partake in a pre-existing functional one, so I'd really like to see how someone else is already making it work.

I also have a strong interest in cobb building. If possible, I'd like to attempt buildings one on the land for practice. Would probably need help with this.

    I'm in oregon right now.

    Howdy,
Interested in coming to Montana? We have some land down in southwest Montana that we are turning into a sanctuary of sorts. We have a kitchen going, and I am in the process of producing drawings for a strawbale structure using earthship techniques and a geodesic dome that will be the community center, which will be cobb covered. Right now it's just tent city but it might be just what you're looking for, there's food and tons of good people. Normlzach@yahoo.com send me an email if you want to know more or are interested.
    Peace
    Namaste
    Love
    Zach

    NormlZach,

I lived in Missoula for a year and a half or so, I'm delighted to hear that you've got a scene forming near there! Who is involved? I'm curious to hear about it! :)

thank you very much for the offer, I may be interested
Will you be available through private message on here in the future?
I first ( well probably ) am going to be trying a few different routes of life out in the coming months, I've found some other possibilities to follow. But like I said, I may want to take you up on your kind offer at some point. Your place sounds great. I'll send you a private message sometime in the future (number of months most likely) if I decide to. Again, thank you very much. It's good to know the possibility exists.
