can i take oxy. because about 18 hrs. ago i went to the ER and was given 40 mg. of meth and told to start the clinic today. the only problem is i cant start the clinic until monday because i didnt have 100 dollars by 6 this morning. now they wont take me until monday. so now to avoid withdrawal i have to do oxy all weekend but i need to know how long do i need to wait before doing oxy? will the meth block the effects i take the oxy 24 hrs. after the methadone? there is no way i can obtain any meth until monday and i refuse to go through withdrawals for 2 days. any advice?

Hold the phone, Josephine...You were dispensed methadone at an ER?
What planet is that place on?

I guess if you can feel w/ds then it wore off and you're good to take some oxy.

yeah thats probably true i could take the OC now only if i could find some! and to sam&ella question, yes they did give me methadone at the ER i live in california. they treated me like a junkie piece of shit and had me writhing and crying for 4 hrs. before getting it but i finally did. i tried to explain i couldnt get to the clinic until monday and asked if i could get a script for something that would last the weekend, but they would even consider it. i swear doctors think W/D's are something addicts make up, i hope someday they have to go through it.

Shit, T-man 4 hours? I suppose the ER docs sometimes get pressured from the Hospitals legal staff as to this kind of protocol, but shit!
Was it a public hospital? Did you consider a walk in clinic?

Anyway, the methadone may interfere with the euphoric effects of oxy, mabey not. Absolutely eat it when ya feel the slightest w/d's.

    get well, dude,
    sam

withdrawals are scary and must suck ass, I hope and try my best that I never wild out that much and have to go thru that shit. Because from what I read, it must suck as much as when I was stuck in a patty wagon for 14hours, I thought I was in a microwave.

Not methadone walk-in-clincs, T-man, just a med center who'll get ya through the weekend. Sorry for any confusion.

its all good sam%ella. but where do you find these "med centers". do they just hand you a script of percs or something if your addicted to OC? how do they work?

    1) Specifics on why you attended the ER.
    2) Block what effects, i.e., what effects are you afraid of being "blocked"?

On an aside, the withdrawals from opiates, in my opinion, are not that severe.
    Much more so with methadone.

the reason i went to the ER is because the Oxy withdrawal is that severe, at least for me. and im afraid of the methadone possibly blocking the effects of oxy, since oxy is the only thing I can probably obtain until i start the clinic monday. i really cant be in withdrawal the whole weekend.

    do you mean Trainspotting?

you are seriously surprised they treated you like a junkie??? are they supposed to treat you like a prince when you come in the ER with withdrawals? plus.. you gotta figure how many junkies they probably see in a weeks time that are there just to get some sort of hookup..

If you take less than 70mgs of methadone it won't fuck with the Oxys.
I take 50mgs of methadone and Oxys in the same day all the time..
You need to be on methadone for a few days at 70mgs or more to block the oxys.
Just eat you shit your fine.
