I have been searching far and wide about the internet trying to find useful information about hypertrophic scarring. I got my nostril pierced recently and soon after developed a bump. I immediately treated it with vitamin e, salt soaks as well as tea tree. I'm wondering, for those of you who have had this experience, when the bump went away did it fall off or shrink away?
Eek. My friend had the same deal. She vitamin e'd it and such and it kinda just shrank and eventually went away.
Lol, I did a bad thing and use a first aid swipe on mine. Hey, it worked but a lot of people will say it's a no no.
Mine just kinda shrank. I have a tiny bump on the inside of my nose where my nose was pierced. Is it possible to repierce over it? Or will it affect healing? Peace Akai-Chan
i also have a problem with large keloid or Hypertophic scars, I've got a small in my nose from a piercing and a large one on my shoulder blade, I've had a few and they were revised by small surgeries, but the one on the shoulder has been removed twice now and grown back even bigger each time and it's pretty painful.. The best way to deal with small ones that are less than a year old is to have them injected with a steroid...I can't remember the name, but your doctor can tell you, this will shrink and possibly get rid of the keloid all together. I've really want several tattoos for years now, but I keep putting it off I'm just worried about the possibility of more scarring from the tissue damage. I don't really understand how my body chooses to form them, sometimes something as simple as a pimple will develop into a keloid and a deep cut will not?! ANyone have any experience with this problem? I've heard of others with Keloid problems having tattoos done with no problems at all and no scarring occurring. Jac
