Are guys a total asshole when they do this....? So one of my boyfriends best friends was dating this girl, but they just broke up a couple of weeks ago. Well, a couple of days ago I found out what went wrong and why they broke up, and part of it was because he always wanted her to blow him and stuff like that, but never wanted to return the favor (he told her he wouldn't ever even put a finger down there because it was too "weird") Now to me, thats being a total jerk! If your not going to give, then you shouldnt take. And I said something to my boyfriend about how his friend was being a total jerk by being like that, and you know what he said?!?! He was like... "well, can you blame him?" It totally pissed me off! If he was joking or not, I dont know... and honestly I dont care. I told him that it was really disrespectful to be like that to a girl (or guy, it doesnt really matter), but he thinks im being stupid for being mad at him for saying it. Sorry, but I dont want to date an asshole, and im starting to realize thats the only thing my boyfriend is. I love him, and I believe he loves me too.... but he's such a dick sometimes, I dont know how much longer I can take it! So what do you think? Am I being stupid, or are guys jerks?
Guys aren't jerks, but one I see where they are coming from, some people just aren't comfortable with giving, only taking, but realistically, they should get over it. Two sides of the same coin, I suppose. It can help your sex life, and more. And exactly what you said, if you take you should give to. I doubt most women would put up with that, unless they themselves didn't like it. As for your boyfriend, maybe you should try to work this out, not sure, but if you really don't want to be with him, cuz he can be a dick, then leave. Good luck.
its not being a dick, or intentionally cruel. usually stuff like that stems from a lack of comfort around sex, finding it awkward and weird and just generally being unused to all things related to sex. often exemplified if someone is brought up in an ultra religious and conservative household where sex is considered 'dirty' and 'bad'
Hi Maybe I can add some input, it may not be trying to be disrespectful, it may be being nervous. I used to be bad at going down on women and I was afraid to do it, so I tried to refuse to. Eventally though in one of my relationships I got over it, as the girl helped me and I learned more. So it may be they just don't want to do a bad job and getting you mad at them.
