    Hey guys,

I've been surfing a bit recently and it's been fine with the dreads but today I wiped out on the beach and got lots of sand stuck in my dreads - tried to rinse it out, but there is still a fair bit in there - any ideas?? should I try soaking the dreads in a bath, use some soap/conditioner, wait till it dries and use a soft brush to try to get most of it out? I'm not sure, any suggestions would be great!!

    thanks,

    Thanks for the quick reply,

I gave them a good wash and think I got most of it out of my scalp and roots, now its drying pretty well and alot of it coming out , so I'll keep shaking out as much dry stuff as I can and be in the water again tomorrow where I hope most of the rest will come out. NOTE to flegling surfer's don't try out really short powerful waves and wait until your almost on the beach to fall of your board, apart from a head full of sand you will most likely take a fair bit of skin off your ass or arm or back....LOL!!!

hmmm shake em out really well? I go to the beach all the time, and I don't mind a little sand in the dreads. it's not gonna hurt em at all...
