Me and some of my friends want to know, and I think this is the best place to turn to... do gay people feel that they're any different from straights? Is there anything about you that you feel makes you different from straights? Sorry if I offended anyone with this question.
I used to feel really different, but I am getting over that now. Now I feel like any other guy. You like chocolate icecream, I like vanilla. We are the same, just different preferences. However, some situations still make me feel very different. =\
i always feel different i feel that by being into guys ive closed the door to a whole other life that i could have had
having to shut myself out from the world because i have to hide my sexual preference is mainly the only thing that makes me feel different from straights. once i'm out though, no, i wouldn't feel that i'm any different.
I think it's a choice. If you decide that liking other dudes makes a different sort of creature, then you will pursue a different lifestyle, and thus eventually grow into somene unlike other people. If you don't, you don't.
From what i see, what gives most gay people grief is trying to apply hetero rules to homo. We aint even on the same timeline, with hetero its best if the girls try hooking up to make babies with the guys in their 20s, thats when they have the most power, thats why most of them settle down in that 25-35 range. With the gay male there simply isnt that time limit, no real need to settle down til 40s or 50s nowadays even, when the time has come were you really do just want to sit on the couch all night watching TV with your partner
I like what Gorilla said. there is no real difference between us, both groups love, want to be loved and seek that special someone.
