So I recently acquired a new gas mask and have been using it a shitload. It has an attachment for blunts, so i have made it a tradition to wake and bake this summer with blunts in the gas mask.

    Here's the problem:
I'm about to go on a 5 hour trip with my family to move into college dorms, and i need to clean this out because it REEKS. In fact, I just took it out of my closet three minutes ago and my entire room smells horribly of weed.

So who has some experience cleaning and deodorizing a gas mask?

The only thing that I have been able to conjure up is to soak it in a soapy bath, but I don't know if that would adversely affect the smell/taste of smoke in the long run.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Soak it in rubbing alcohol for about 2 hours, get it all good and dry then stuff it in somthing, a huge ziploc or somthing and pack it in ur bag. I think you might be ok.

EDIT: Or vacuum seal it (with a store bought sealer or wtf ever) and mail it to your new address, in the dorm somehow ...

    Oh well good luck

    thanks for the input..

i'm a little more concerned with getting to become less overwhelmingly odorous than getting the mask to school or having it at school, to be honest.

does anyone have any tried and true methods for cleaning up a gas mask?

hey, I don't know if this will help but I was in a kind of similar predicament. I have a little 9" bong that reeked to high heaven. I clean it after every 3 or so uses but the case for it still smells whenever I take it out of my closet. I was worried that when I brought it to school my parents would smell it for sure in the car...so I just sprayed the outside of it with febreez. Worked for me. Try showering it in febreez then washing it when you get down there.
