Hi, I’m completely new to growing and after about 11 days I have concerns about my pretty little seedling. The leaves are wavy (crimped) on the edges. My set up: Florescent lights about 4 inches from the tops of my leaves. The temperature fluctuates between 70 ~ 80 degrees F and the humidity generally stay’s in the low 40s. Here is a picture: Thank you Growing Guru's !
I have just checked my thermostat and the maximum temprature its been in there wss over 90 degrees - i think maybe it gets quite warm in here and this could be the problem with my leaves?
You disruputed it with that halogen.. It will recover.. With a halogen light you might as well put the plant it the microwave to grow... Keep using the fluorescents, they are called FLOWERSCENTs for a reason...
How often are you watering and about how much? Do you wait until the medium is pretty much dry before watering again? How dense is that soil? Some strains show leaf crinkling when overwatered....
It might be over watering yeah. But i have other plants which i water with about the same and they show no effects. I dont water them with a set amount just how ever much i feel like heehee never much water tho only a a small mouthfull for you or i.
Alrite, just be sure that you're letting the soil dry out a good deal between waterings... remember, roots require oxygen as well as water.... so if they are always wet then they can't get everything they need.... Good luck!
Thank you lune That helps. As you seem like a bit of a guru could you look at this pic for me too and see what you think ? I have googled and internetted this problem but theres so many different ones of a similar problem. The other one is brown blotches and the leaf is realy dry and cracking.
