peircings before 18

i was wondering what piercings you got before you turned 18 and how you got them.

My parents signed for all the ones they know/knew about (ears, nose, eyebrow, lip, belly button).

The ones they don't know about are my nipples and clit. When i was 15 me and a friend did each others nipples. She took hers out within a week but i kept mine in. My clit hood was done when i was 17 by an older friend that was a pro piercer. Me and her knew each other for a several years. She got hers done and was telling me about it and she ended up doing mine in a parking lot with 4 other girls watching. It was an interesting experience.

If my parents ever found out about either they would flip out. I had such a hard time over my tounge piercing.

Well, i was wondering what piercings you all were successful at getting before you were 18

I had pierced my ears five times, my bellybutton, my monroe, and my nose. But you can get pierced by 16 on your own here.

I have my eyebrow and my lip pierced, those are the only two that I have, and I got them both before I was 18.

I did the webbing under my tongue last summer when I was 15, but that's it.

this is my first post but I basicly registered here for the purpose of warning you something about nipple and clit peircings.
My friend was talking to his doctor whom used to do a lot of peircing and he said that there is a certain nerve in the nipple and if you hit it when your getting a nipple piercing then overtime the nipple will begin to stretch. I forgot what the exact name of the nerve is called but inless you know exactly where it is then you will most likly hit it. This happened to another one of my friend's Uncle and now his nipples are like 3 inchs long. So inless you got incredibly lucky and your friend missed that nerve then in 10-20 years time you could find yourself with 3 inch long sagging nipples. I'm not sure if it will make a difference now but you should take them out and then talk to a doctor. Don't get me wrong I love nipple peircings myself but do you want 3 inch sagging nipples in 10 years?

There is also a similair thing with a clit peircing. My friend's doctor said roughly ten years after you get a clit peircing you will lose all feeling in your clit. I am not a girl but I can imagine that would really suck. I'm not sure if this is about simply doing the peircing right or if this is in all cases. My friend's doctor said that this is true for all cases however I don't have secondary source to confirm this. The doctor also said that the vast majority of even pro peircers don't know this. Either way its best to take the safe road and consult a doctor about the nipple and clit peircings because it may be cool now but will it be in ten years?

While I don't know anything about what the last post is talking about, but there are major risks with any piercing. Those aside, there are very sexual ideas about piercings. Tongue, Nipple, clit piercings all indicate you are sexually active. That is a big problem to us parents. We never want to know our kids have grown or a are growing up.
Sexually active teens are a dangerous bunch. That aside, it is not legal in most areas around the US to get pierced. Nothing without a parental permission. Real body shops will not do anyone under 18 due to all of the health risks. Loss of feeling function or worse.
As a father of 3, I would never allow my kids any piercings other than ears until over 18. Yes, I have 9 piercings and my kids only know about 6. After they are 18 and it is more safe and their judgement comes a little more clear, I would gladly go with and help them with their decisions.
Yes it is your body, but it is your parents responsibility to ensure it's safty untill you are at least 18 and more than likely for the rest of thier lives.

 

I got my ears first at 11, then a second hole in my left lobe at 16, and I got my nose pierced today. The place I got them done allows you to have any piercing apart from septum and surface piercings at 16 w/o parental consent. For the other you have to be 18.

 

I got my ears 5 times and right nostril before turning 18...and now have my other nostril done (by myself) and my left nipple by a piercer and plan to get a VHP in the near future...but I'm over 18 now so thats irrelevant for this thread.


But in responce to the poster a few above, there are of course risks of nerve damage and things like that whenever getting any piercings done...But the thing about nipple piercings is that (so long as the piercer is even remotley trained) they know to pierce just behind the nipple not actually through it- or else it could be more easily yanked out, so the stretching thing is not to be concerned about really cause it should not be really pierced through the actual nipple, I can't even imagine where stretching could happen with where mine is placed- unless I started stretching with different gages...and I've heard of hood piercings causeing troubles as well, but again its acutally not being put in the area where the main nerves are, it's a seperate area from the clit entirley, so there is a really small chance of looseing feeling in the clit due to this piercing.

 

I got my nipple done a week after I turned 16, but thats legal here. Part of the appeal in the nipple, for me, was the privacy factor. My dad had previously threated to forcibly remove any piercings he caught me with using pliers, so I really didn't want him to know. (He never would have done it BTW, but it was a scary threat at the time!)

 

i had a lot, and my mom signed for all of them - my ears, eyebrow, septum, lip web ("smiley") tongue web, tongue (two in a row, 4 gauge and later horizontal), industrial bellybutton (top and bottom) two vertical labrets, two sideburn piercings (surface piercings in front of my ears, dunno if anyone would have seen these before) and my clit (my clit my mom did not know about.) i've taken all of these out except my ears and bottom bellybutton.

 

Wow.. I appreciate my clit way more than to get it pierced in a dirty parking lot..

Anyhow... I had most of my piercings done before I turned 18. Nose at 13 or so, labret at 15, tongue at 17... ears when I was maybe 9. I still have all of those, plus a few more.

 

got 7 piercings on either ear, my right nostril done and my top belly button before my eighteenth. i highly doubt there are any laws out here to do with piercings so i had no problems with anything really. my mum went quite ballistic when she heard about my belly piercing though

 

the only piercings i got before 18 were my gauges. i was 18 and 4 months when i got my tongue and it just went from there 2 eyebrow, both sides of my nose, septum, labret, 2 verticl labret, 2 nape.

 

haha well i have my nose pierced, when i was 15. and my ears have a bunch of piercings, most before the nose piercing, one after.

 

I got my lobes done.

That's it. She would NOT consent to me getting anything else done. She did pay for my industrial on my 18th.

 

16's the legal age you can get pierced here- or at least at the place i got a couple of mine done. I got my ears done when i was 8- started stretching them when I was... 12. When i was 15 I got my nose done. And the day after my 16th got the middle of my lip done- my mother was not impressed. The lip one i took out about a month later 'cause i couldn't play the flute and one of my ears closed over when i tried to stretch it. so I'm down to my left ear and right nostril. I'm content. won't be going back for any more anythime soon!

 

My mum wouldn't let me get anything done, besides my ears for the LONGEST time.

I got my ears pierced when I was probably one or so, double pierced when I was ten. Pierced my cartilage twice when I was eleven, and a third time up when I was sixteen.

I finally got her to consent to me piercing my nose for my sixteenth birthday.

I pierced my bellybutton and monroe when I was 17, and my lip when I was 18.

The only piercing I've had professionally done is my septum, and that was in July.

 

i got my ear lobes pierced at 13 and i had my left nostril pierced at 17 and my parents didnt mind, but then they are pretty liberal.

I got my ears pierced at 11 but I was obviously just a silly kid so I went to a cheap haridresser with my pocketmoney and they did them so uneven I was never able to wear earrings without looking like a prat...so I never did
