Before I start, this thread isn't meant to be demeaning or anything, I'm just curious.

Why do you guys smoke weed? From what I've seen from my school alone, all of the gangstas act incredibly loud, obnoxious, and really like to fight over dumb shit. Weed is a very mellow drug, that usually brings out the opposite of those traits in people. Now I have a lot of friends like that, which I do smoke with on occasion. Some of them can be really cool, but some are annoying as fuck and act worse than they do sober. So what do you guys like about weed?

 

Yea I know what you mean THEY are the people who get shit down at my school.

Last thing I wanna do when I'm blazing is a drive-by, strange choice in drugs. If I was up to some no good shit I'd probably be on coke.

 

I dunno about kids at your school but if theyre always startin fights and gettin all hyphy then maybe weed is the thing they use to calm down. I always fight with my friends at school, i think its fun, and I always do active stuff when i smoke I dont like to just lie around and be high

 

Well I know some of them are mad chill when they smoke, because they usually are when they are sober, but the ones I am talking about are buggin high or sober.

 

What there not allowed to smoke weed or something because the way they act?

No, I personally don't care if they do or don't. I just wonder what they see in it if they act the complete opposite of how the drug makes you.

 

They are probably smoking leaves, thinking they are getting high, just to be cool.

Maybe they only inhale into their mouths, because really they are scared of doing drugs, and would rather pretend they are high.

 

Maybe they just smoke the weed we smoked lastnight nate. That would explain things.

 

Because for a lot of people it's a face they put on, why I don't know, however I do have my speculations. Trying to act "hard" to hide emotions? Quick to make fun of, fight etc...with others because of their own insecurities? It's a fad? Not really sure, those are just some assumptions I've made, based on what I've seen.

It kind of disappoints me when I see people like that smoking though, because they tend to bring a bad "rap" (bit of a pun there I suppose) on those of us who use bud for more spiritual purposes. That's not directed at everyone who puts on the whole "gangsta" facade, because as we all know there's all types of people in all walks of life.

 

This post all-together is pretty ignorant. Gangsta is a way of living, you'll never see a real "gangsta" in school unless they're slangin. Those aren't gangsta's your talking about, they're just immature kids that listen to rap and wear baggy clothes. Imo, the reason they fight over dumb shit is because they are failing all their classes, and don't give a shit about school.
Plus, fighting just gives em something to do.They smoke weed for the same reason as everybody else, it fucks them up. Just because they're high doesn't mean they can't fight.

 

man u just think that cause u dont know any. meet some of them man, only the ass hole really lower lung gang members are the loud ones beggin for attention, bein dicks to random people while wearin there really bright red shirts and bright read shoes. real ganstas are fuckin cool, nice people who know how to party and have a good time. i actualy have a bunch of gang friends(mostly bloods) and the majority of them are only ganstas for the fun in it. and also i mean think about u look at them as loud gangstas they probably look at u as rich white kid, its all perception

 

people smoke weed cuz it gets them high. whats nice about weed is it is a drug that any "label" can enjoy. it is user friendly and will adapt to your personality. you can act like yourself on it and still fell really high.

moreover, it is not a choice of drug per se, in that these ganstas are doing it because it is the most available drug around. for them its about getting "fukd up" as it is for a lot of people, but it doesnt necessarily make them chill out, weed can also make a lot of people relaxed. this whole chill out idea probably from the soporific effects of the marijuana plant. there is an element of machismo for many of these groupthinkers in any activity and not least in act of drug taking, which would of course account for the exaggerated aggression being present in any situation, not least when intoxicated

 

Different people smoke for different reasons. Some people enjoy going crazy, getting loud, and beating the fuck out of people, and it only stands to reason that the weed would make that more enjoyable. Being stoned makes everything else more enjoyable, so why not? haha
