Too Many Stickys!

Im sure im not the only one who thinks that this subforum has too many stickys. this is a great forum, but i think its getting cluttered by the 7 stickys that we have at the top of the page.

i think that the 2c danger thread, the 2c experience thread, and the looking for a supplier thread. here's why:

2c danger thread: no real scientific info here, worthless as to really determine the danger of certain RC's. even when talking about deaths supposedly "caused" by 2ct7, its pointed out that not even that is proven to be the cause. whats the point? it really cant help anyone either way

2c experience thread: erowid simply trumps it, and bluelight has hundreds of 2c trip reports also

looking for a supplier thread: seems to be redundant when we already have a sticky titled "finding a reliable research chemical supplier"

if im the only one who thinks this, ill just shut up and get over it. i just figured we can clean the forum up a little bit.

 

Finding a Reliable Source and Looking for a Supplier should be combined into one. Maybe even combine all the supplier and "No Posting Sources" threads into one as a general rule and tips thread. Would clear up a lot and still have the same info.

The 2C's maybe should go though just because this category is "Synthetic Drugs" not just for 2C's, which are a big part of the synthetics but not all of them. The same info can be found elsewhere and will be just as valuable. I mean Erowid has all the same info. People can post individual experiences if they want, or just un-sticky that one...

I agree. We should have 1 FAQ/rules thread, and maybe keep a separate one about not posting/asking for sources, just to make it more visible.

 

We have that one quite visible now and people still ask for sources... People need to learn to read the rules.

That is why I believe all rules and FAQ should be consolidated into 1 thread with 2 posts. 1 for rules 1 for the FAQ.

 

Yea maybe some consolidation can help clean things up a bit

Personally, I'm not bothered by the stickies. If you spend any regular amount of time in the synthetic forums, you'll understand just how many times people ask for a source, ask which 2c-x is best for them, whats the best payment method, etc. It can get tiring answering the same questions over and over again...

...but then I've noticed the stickies don't really seem to cut down on those types of posts in the first place. :banghead: I suppose we can't win...

... and there is definitely no way to make everyone happy.

 

That is my main reason for wanting consolidation.

 

Stickies come and go, as our needs change. Some threads will be stickied for a week or two, because the mod(s) find them interesting, or because they contain useful info.

It's not possible to determine how much work certain stickies help the mods avoid. Certainly some people read them, and don't post crap that they would have posted, otherwise.

Feel free to keep expressing your sticky thoughts in this thread.

yeah i think these are great stickies to have for now.
its a great place for someone to post any new hazards they discover from their use of 2cx's

One more thing with one particular sticky, the scam sources. Why doesn't someone update the first page instead of just adding on a huge list in individual posts? If a scam is confirmed I believe it should be added to the beginning to make the whole thing a lot easier.
