My boyfriend and I were planning on leaving FL for places unknown in February after the Ocala Gathering. But the universe seems to have other plans for us, with shit hitting the fan as far as work and a place to live.

Right now we really have two choices: a)work really hard to stay here in a place we hate living for another six months or b)hit the road. The earliest we'll be out of a place to live is October. Probably later. But we're worried about finding places to stay in the winter. We don't have any experiences living on the road, so does anyone have any advice? Any particular destinations we should head for?

Advice of any kind would be appreciated really.

if i suggested a place to go ... then that place wouldn't be a place unknown . i'd make some kind of direction-giving oracle out of a couple sticks and go that way .

just travel, look up every festival, state parks with free camping etc... get a few ideas done for making extra cash. if you get to az hit me up. if you go north, maine is unlike any place in america. i recommend harvestfest in starks, its a legal festy. love those harsh times though, keeps the world from spinning too slow..

ah yeah Maine is amazing just not when it's extremely cold and snowing.
I've yet to find anywhere in the USA that fits my existence.
California was awesome up until recently. Place is blown up.
Depends on what you want, I guess.
'round that time I'm leaving the country.
This place creeeeeeeeeps me out. o.o

After Ocala, you can bet there will be Family going almost straight to another Gathering. I did this Rainbow Trail for many years. It is a good introduction to living on the road.

Thanks to everyone for all your advice. I have a couple ideas about crafts and stuff that I can make and sell, I like to tie hemp and my boyfriend is really good at making poly beads, painting, and drawing.

I was thinking about making hula hoops and tutus (and I haven't tried it yet, but maybe dread falls as well).

What would be the best way to sell these things without too much hassle from the govt? I know in the area I live in now it totally wouldn't fly and I would probably last all of ten minutes if I tried to set up. Anyways, are there certain things I should look for as far as a good place to sell my wares?
