1.blowing up innocent people isnt a courageous act No it isn't it's pathetic whether it's an idiot fundi-mentalist or a US/UK pilot from 10,000ft. 2.there's been members on here defending the mass murder of those Russian school kids as a neccessary act Who exactly? 3. I imagine y'all must think Timothy McVeigh was VERY brave McVeigh was a dimwit Nazi....and one of your lot. You seem to think you hold the monopoly on terrorist attacks. We've been suffering with them for years!
I beg to differ. It ain't rocket science. If Westerners give their lives defending 'freedom', they're considered 'brave'. So why isn't a suicide bomber 'brave'? Stupid, yes. Evil, yes. Pick any other derisory adjective that you like and I'll probably agree with you. But that doesn't stop them being brave. The first step to defeating your enemy is to understand your enemy. Pretending that they are cowards won't help you defeat them. It will only help you to underestimate them.
Just to clarify: Well, I'd say that planning to fly an airliner into the side of the WTC must've involved "danger, fear or difficulty". And clearly the terrorists had the "mental strength" to withstand those things. Therefore, according to the dictionary definition, they were courageous. Sorry if that doesn't fit anyone's political/moral agenda. Facts are kinda like that - they sorta resist being twisted to suit individuals.
Very little brain? I would have thought it would take a hell of a lot of intelect to pull it off. The lack of brain is ignoring the warnings that it was going to happen in the first place.
He's American. He probably thinks you're either a member of the royal family or a chimney sweep. If he's particularly cultured, he may think you sell jellied eels.
