I got Arrested with 1/8th of shrooms

hey im just wondering if anyone has an idea on what the laws are on Shrooms in ALberta Canada are.

I was eating some shrooms with some friends and it started to kick in and I decided to go buy some more so I was meeting the the guy only like 4 blocks up..so we took my friends canadian-tire bought mini bike and I was on the back, so we drive down and meet the guy I buy 1/8th for 20$ then we get back on the mini bike and start driving down the street and some cops started tailing us and i didnt even notice until my friend turned down the alley to lose em and then they just turned theyre sirens on and started chasing us...so I had a ziplock back of shrooms in my hand causue i had no pockets and it was night i thought id be alright..but i guess not. I tried to throw the shrooms in a bush but the ziplock bag got caught in the wind since it was a big bag and it just landed straight up in the middle of the alley...and my buddy had too stop the bike casue the cops were right on us...like this bike goes like 20-30kph when theres 2 ppl on it so we had no chance of out runnin a cop car. So we stop I get arrested and they put me in the car and im in the Prime of my shroom trip right now too...i was seeing some crazy shit espically with the fuckin lights going...anyway they were actin like i was in serious trouble and all this BS, so they take me back to station and strip search me and put me in jail and I had a flight to to go back home to Toronto the next day and it was like 1 in the morning then and they said i was gonna be in for a few days mabye,Anyway i was only in the cell for like a few hours then they questioned me and let me go.

Im just wondering whats the worst that coulda happened? i was really fuked up when it was going on and I couldnt really grasp much on the situation...Oh im 18 btw.

 

i thought shrooms were legal in canada. or is it amsterdam? yeah, but if they let you go, what are you worried about? sounds like they were just having fun with you.

 

nah shrooms arnt legal in canada but i used to think they were kinda. Im just curious as too what they coulda done if I was charged, casue Im prity sure they where just being dicks.

 

If your friend was tripping too, they could have gotten him for driving while intoxicated. Its stupid, but people get nailed for biking drunk.

I don't know the laws in Canada, though.

Sorry it happened, but next time you should be more careful when on drugs and possesing drugs.

lol why is that stupid? I don't know about California but in the Massachusetts there are armies of assholes on bikes wearing those stupid jumpsuits like they're professionals and they don't obey the rules of the road like stopping at stop signs and red lights because they're on bikes and think they're exempt. And then they have the nerve to say "share the road" after they blow through lights and signs. I want to run down every last one of them, I hate nothing more than driving in the presence of cyclists.

If you're on a bike you're supposed to follow the rules of the road. Biking inebriated isn't as big a threat as a drunk in a car but they're prone to the same recklessness and assholeness and can get themselves killed pretty easily riding into traffic haha

 

yeah but we wernt driving crazy we just drove down the street and then turned down the alley wich we would have followed till we got home...but i agree i mean if your a drunkin fool you shouldnt be driving.

like the reason we got chased was casue we were driving a veichle that wasnt street legal

 

Yeah, I wasn't talking about your particular case. The dude I quoted saying that people on bikes shouldn't have to follow the same rules as somebody in a car would got me on a tangent because I hate cyclists.

It's nice that you got away with nothing but a scare though.

 

yeah dude, it sounds like the cops were just having some fun. cops in california, at least in my area, do the same kind of thing for people with a little bit of weed. its their entertainment, ya know?
