I find the idea of "choosing" our race according to our heritage, quite ridiculous. We are what we are. Mulatto by definition is a person who has a parent who's white and a parent who's black. That's what he is, no matter how we look at it and I guess I would understan him a bit more if he was raised in a black environment and that's what he identifies himself with, but that's also not the case. He calling himself black is no other than political reasons. I dont think black people in America would like him as much if he called himself a mulatto (even though that's what he is).

 

I'd buy the political bag as reasons for calling himself black. But he still calls himself black and appears to associate himself with black culture. I don't think that is something that he's just decided to take on as soon as he decided to run for president. Maybe people have been giving him and assigning him a race such as black, that he now associates himself to be more black, than mulatto or white? Dunno, you'd have to ask him.

Yeah, is that why Obama, with his law degree from Harvard, chose to work in the south side of chicago to help out working class families as a community organiser instead of those lucrative and high paying jobs that he could have easily gotten, and was offered?

You talk a lot of shit about other people rat, but I doubt you have anywhere near the same capability, or compassion to help out others like Obama has. I'm no saint either, I like to think I'd rather help people than take a fat paycheck, but reality is I would take the paycheck, it takes a strong willed person in this world to pass up money to help others, and Obama is one of those few, that makes him anything but an elitist.
