Im on the phone with old lady's daughter. There is a pretty big storm that could come into the gulf.. Now this is just a precautionary measure, but I called her to make sure she signed up the old lady for hurricane evacuation help. I told her, if its bad enough to where we need to leave, I need to go with my family and dogs get them safely to New Waverly to the dicks cabin in the forest. She asked me what they were supposed to if I had to leave. I told her I didnt know. If its bad enough where we have to leave, I am going to make sure my family is safe. My sister is pregnant, about 7 months and just blew up.. She cant do much and her boyfriend is lazy. My dogs are a priority. She expects me to leave my family to take care of hers. She wont watch her, she wouldnt even take her for the holidays because she cant be bothered. Every time something happens she expects me to stay. She thinks she takes priority.. pshh.. this is just a job.

Well, you know, im asking because she needs to make arrangements in case it gets bad. These people have a habit of procrastinating. I am going to make sure old lady is taken care of as much as I can without putting my family in jeopardy. My family comes first and foremost. I just dont see how she can expect for me to stay. Last year, for thanksgiving and christmas, I Can demanded the day off.I even gave her a choice. For thanksgiving I asked for the day off.. I offered to leave to make and eat dinner and come back.. roughly 9 hours. She wouldnt take her to her house even for the day. For christmas, I told her either I take the 24th off or the 25th. Just one day. She had to scramble to find someone because again, she wouldnt take her to her house. I told her last year, when we were in the same situation of a storm that I would have to leave, and she wouldnt said the same thing she did now.. she said there's no way for her to get here to pick her up. Bullshit.. she can take back roads. I understand not liking your mom, because she is insufferable much like mine, but thats not my problem. I will only leave if its a category 4, so thats not unreasonable. Im not being anal about it, but I have to speak up. The old lady isnt on any machines or any special apparatus so she can travel by car.. there's no excuses. No, Im not in Galveston, But the city still floods fairly easily and a category 4 hurricane warrants leaving.
sounds as if your being more than reasonable,,.. i wouldnt worry about it,youve made it clear,,its not your problem.. tell the old biddies daughter youll take her with you for 10 grand..
