my friend and i live in the suburbs of boston, ma. while out, we saw a bush with flowers that look exactly like datura. we picked 8 of them and brought them home, we want to brew a tea later tonight (we know about only using 1/2-1 flower each). the thing is, we can't be sure. google image has images that look almost exactly like our flowers. but... does datura grow in bushes in the northeast at this time of year, more specifically boston ma, usa? also, are there any plants which look a LOT like datura but their flowers are poisonous (more so than datura lol)? thanks for any help.
Yer dont do it, but if you do make sure you have someone to watch over you, But in saying that the seeds are available on the net, Yes the seeds get you high and crazy.
Datura, also known as Angel's Trumpet, are blooming now. They are Very fragrant - probably some kind of natural survival device to Kill what ever the hell decided to eat it. I'm not thinking it'll be a good idea to make that tea. Once I tasted a foxglove leaf (where digitalis comes from), and it was Only a bit of a taste. Within an hour not only was my heart pounding but I was also puking my guts up. So, please be careful because datura is supposed to be some serious stuff.
