I doubt there is a way to fix this but I might as well ask. I have a small color changing glass pipe which I love, and one day the bowl was really ressed up. So, someone told me to light the bottom of the bowl for a few seconds instead of lighting the inside of the bowl because it would "turn the resin into a kind of steam which I could inhale, sort of like a vaporizer". Well I tried doing that and it didn't work. In fact I have a huge black mark on the bottom of my bowl now and it is not as good looking as it used to be . Any suggestions?
try washing it, and to clean it, soak it in rubbing alcohole. as long as it didnt break or crack the glass it itnt that big of a deal
The best thing I have found for cleaning soot off whether it be metal paint or glass is just a bit of car wax on a rag, ofcourse the type with no abrasive.
If it's on the outside of the pipe like he said you are not going to be smoking the wax, and if it's still a concern you can use dish soap and water which will remove all excess wax off.
Oh dear good no, that would be nasty as hell, the only thing I use to clean the inside of my bowl is grain alcohol.
umm.. just wipe it off... soot usually just wipes off of a glass bowl.. i've never had it stick.. i always clean my bowl out by torching it with a lighter and wiping it clean with a piece of tissue paper.. and a lot of soot builds up around the outside of the bowl while doing this.. it just comes off with a simple wipe..

dont try all the things. just wipe it off with a dry towel or your shirt. never use chemicals on your pipe.
everyones cleaning their bowls and shit with rags? man I just scrape mine to clean it, then smoke the rez haha. I'd suggest ISO'ing it, if that doesnt work, you can stil make some sick oil
