Jesus, what a summer. Step Brothers, Pineapple Express, now this. It's definitely the comedy of the year, packed with stars and hilarious at the same time.

First of all, when I saw the advertisements, I thought it was a PG-13 and wasn't as excited about it as the other two. Then when I went to see it, I found out it was R and laughed my ass off the whole time. Robert Downy Jr. and Jack Black are golden in it.

Oh man! My dad and I went to see this together twice, now! We're both sort of hard judges when it comes to comedies (not that that matters, as it's still just our very similar opinions), and we both loved it and laughed the entire time. It has some really classic comedic stunts in there. Apparently there was a stir made about the fact that there is substantial joke-material at the expense of the mentally handicapped population. I'm not sure what to say about that... The movie did a pretty decent job of making cheap fun of every social and racial group in the movie fairly equally. The cast did a fantastic job. Haha... too funny.

The trailers at the start of the film are heee-larious, as well!

i love the stars, all of em. A LOT. but really, i think it could have been better.
...or maybe not. but the whole tom cruise thing was way too over-the-top stupid.

I will admit that the Tom Cruise parts were too funny-for-Hollywood-insiders for people like me, who don't really care how crazy producers in Hollywood are. It seemed overdone and unnecessarily dumb.

On the whole though, I loved this movie! I was especially impressed by Robert Downey Jr., he was great! And I agree with Mori Mesmer....the trailers at the beginning had me laughing harder in ten minutes than I do during most two-hour long movies. Awesome.:)
