im moving to rez shortly, and plan to have a wondeful time there. i obviously got the essentials, but its the "extras" that i desire. ive got beanbag, lavalamp, and playstation so far. any other ideas, especially of the stoner variety?
I just moved in last week and my roommate is real cool but he doesn't smoke. I keep the good stuff locked in my safe which is at the back of my little wardrobe/closet. I've been considering getting a vaporizer to get stoned at night but people have already been busted here (this is a very chill school, known for stoners/hippies). I'm on the 4th floor and my RA's room is right next to the elevator. The other day I was walking down to the elevator to go to the bookstore when a smell just punched me in the face. I stopped for a second because I couldn't believe it was weed. Another kid came down the hall and had the EXACT same reaction. We started to sniff around just to see where it was coming from and it got stronger and stronger the closer we got to my RA's room. We are standing a few feet away from his door laughing when he walks out says that he knows his room reaks of weed but it must be the kids below him. They had their fan blowing out the window, the air drafted upwards, and was sucked in by my RA's fan. The RA's MUST call the cops if they smell weed so there was nothing he could do. Freshman are not allowed to park their cars on campus at my school because there is not enough space so we park about 2 or 3 miles away. There is a public transportation system in the city that is free to students so it is a short ride there. I bring along a jay or packed bowl when I have to go run errands and simply smoke when I get back to the parking lot before I get on the bus. Last time I was on the bus there was a kid at the stop with a small acoustic guitar. This kid was FUCKED UP and barely realized that his guitar was very out of tune. He sat towards the front of the bus and at the next stop a lot of good looking girls got on and had to sit next to him. They look frightened as he incoherently mumbled and strummed random strings. What I was trying to say was, don't risk smoking in your room or on campus for that matter until you feel 100% you are safe.
I've been blazing in the parking lot / small wooded area by my dorm, but it's sketchy because you're not even supposed to smoke cigarettes on campus, and someone told me a kid hot busted at the wooded spot. Plus, last night I walked through poison ivy or some shit once I got there. >:{
one that has reverse on it is a must have. i have a lava lamp as well. oh and a bean bag is a great idea ill have to look into that.
me and my roomates smoke in my room all the time. Of course the RA's care but they arent the kind of people that will hunt you down for smoking weed. theyre college students too.
i vaporized, in my dorm every day i was at college last year. occasionally we would rip the roor. use a nice spoof and a fan aimed at the window, towel at the base of the door. but turn the fan back around and move the towel when your done so its not so obvious you've been smoking.
we did the same except no vaporizer.. my friend had a bong. febreeze and a lil towel action help out alot.
Futon... kills two birds with one stone.. a nice set of headphones.. go spend $50 on noise reduction headphones.. for those days where you need to let your music blast but don't wanna disturb your roommate
I don't know about your policies at schoold but I personally had a crock pot, a toaster oven, a microwave and of course the refridgerator. I wrote a small cookbook when I was in college and I could make a three course meal using just those pieces of equipment. Food is very important for a dorm room.
I've got the vape going right now. Its nice to be able to get ripped and not have to worry about smells. And speaking of food; I've gotten re-acquainted with spaghetti-o's. They are truly wonderful.
damn i haven't had spaghetti-os in forever! but yea they were really good i remember posters are an essential as well. i would recommend a really trippy/ cool poster like maybe pink floyd the doors beatles marley zeppelin or whatever.
Christmas lights. A microwave will save your life (unless you have access to one in a lounge on your floor or something). Having a fridge is amazing but I guess I could have lived without one. As far as stoner touches go, I'd agree that a window fan is essential. I didn't have AC in my room so it can obviously do 2 very important things. Comfortable seating is a must, so getting something to complement that beanbag would be a great idea.
actually, ive got a very luxurious hotel-ish room. its a 2 person room thats got a tv, fridge/freezer, microwave, sink, FULL bathroom (tub/sink/toilet), double beds, and the room is approximately between 15X25 ft and 20X40 ft (i gotta measure it so i can gloat at my buddies-most dorms are 1/2 this size) its got its own heater/AC unit and the windows are sealed. instead, there is a central air system with intakes in the bathroom and main room. question: the bathroom would make an ideal hotboxing zone, as it would vent itself into the central air very quickly and effectively. however, there is a sprinkler on the ceiling. will smoke set it off? otherwise im set. Ive got my king-size rizla silvers, some juicy jays, and about a half oz with me (glass jar=no odor). tommorow gotta meet/greet the hallway and determine just how soundproof the walls are (for future PS2 enjoyment)
