I am 16, i know my profile says otherwise but i am, im 17 in about 2 weeks, i look around 18, get served alcohol often(even without the fake id), i also have a fake id, although its not that good (well it looks identical to a drivers license except one word), never been turned down alcohol with it, although they are from foreign people in shops.

I really want to get a tattoo on my upper right arm, do you think i could have a chance in getting it? My dad is generally ok with it but says he wouldnt come because my mum would be pissed off at him :p

Also, a few years ago on holiday i had a henna tatoo which i had an allergic reaction too, could i possibly have a reaction to real tattoo ink?

thanks to any answers, im not an immature little kid that wants one to look cool, i want one that has some meaning.

Also is there anything to take before that might lower the pain? i heard on the upper arm is the least painfull part of the body, is this true?

I think if you aren't ready for the pain, then you might not be ready for a tattoo. Pain is going to come with it no matter what, though it varies on person and location. Upper arm isn't directly over bone or on sensitive skin, like the ankle, spine, inner elbow, or some other really painful spot. Just remember pain lasts for a short while, the tattoo is forever.

About your henna - was it black? Black henna uses unnatural dyes that cause pain and inflammation and allergic reactions, and since the reddish-brown hennas are safe, there is no reason anyone should use black. But people still do, and if you got one without knowing that might be why you were allergic.

As much as you might not want to hear it, there is also the option of waiting just a little over one more year. It'll go quicker than you think, and you can spend that time really thinking about what you want on your skin. Have fun, whatever you do and be safe. :)
