I think it should be illegal except for extenuating circumstances, like rape. I haven’t decided when life starts, and probably never will, so I think this is the best middle ground that makes sense to me.
Yeah but by that logic, a woman can become impregnated, then later just decide they actually don't feel like having a kid and have an abortion. There has to be some level of control to make sure the system isn't abused.
I am a man and would like to be consulted but at the end of the day it is not my decision. It should remain legal for the woman to have a choice. More sex education in schools and homes. Less bible teaching more reality teaching, thanks.
Yes, but it takes two to become pregnant in the first place. I'm unsure about my stance on abortion. I believe that the system could easily be abused. On the same note, a woman does not have the right to do whatever she wishes with her body since prostitution is illegal.
Yes I know it takes two. But we are talking about the consequences of sex. If neither of us care or are reckless then the outcome could be a child. It is in her hands at the end of the day; my thoughts should be a factor but I'd have to respect her dicision. Are you calling all women who get themselves pregnant and seek an abortion prostitutes? I hope not. They have have every right to do exactly what they like with their body.
i wouldn't have an abortion but i wouldn't deny anyone the right to do as they please with their body..... legal or not...people will still do it (i mean look at cannabis)
I think it's very relative, it should be legal, but conditional. Having an abortion when you're young and can't provide for a decent childhood is understandable, having an abortion at a more "mature" age, when you are doing decently economicaly, because you weren't carefull enough is unacceptable. So I think it realy depends on the situation.
Why doesn't the baby have a chance at life just because it's a product of rape? I understand it can be traumatic for a woman to give birth to a child that came from something and someone terrible, but just killing it is a cop out. She doesn't have to keep it, but she doesn't have to kill it either. There is an alternative. Adoption. Why then aren't people considering it? Do they just not want to have to deal with being pregnant? No morning sickness, no getting fat, no labor. Are these really good reasons to choose an abortion over adoption? I personally am pro-life, but I can't force that opinion on people. I agree to disagree on that one. To me the only exception is if the mother's life is in danger. A life for a life. But a life for a mind? That's a half-assed exchange.
I'm a male, I think it's a horrible thing, but there are so many grey areas that it would be stupid to flat out illegalize it. I basically think people have the right to choose, but I would most likely break of all contact with someone in my life who did it, or at least have some very strong things to say. Unless of course she was raped or something like that.
Pro-life people do you not realize the consequences of making abortion illegal? Just a few. 1. Accidental death and infections from shady back ally abortions. 2. Unfit mothers/couples forced to have babies who will grow up with no parental guidence and thus people EVERYONES problem. 3. People with no insurance and no money forced to go into labor, who pays for that? We all do. (yes abortion mean they have to go through labor) 4. More people on welfare Pro-lifers, like Republicans need to not look at a problem and say ban that or kill that, no what needs done is an examiniation of what is causing the issue and rather then taking away someones right to chose, educate them in school on how to make choices. You do a google search and you'll find the biggest Tween idol Hannah Montana in a camisole and panites... not to mention all the other disney stars dressin in ways schools wouldnt allow. What kinda message are we sending to kids? The media is to blame, parents are to blame, and yes the 2 people who caused the situation but lets look for solutions to preventing pregnancy not prevention of abortion
