Bob Barr....hmm Republican turned Libertarian. I watched the Libertarian party convention on Cspan and saw a number of other candidates who were idelogically more true to the Libertarian philosophy. Barr just seemed to be the most prominent and maybe financially backed choice.

He doesn't get me fired up about anything. I'm writing in Ron Paul...f-it.

I was a libertarian when I was younger.

While I no longer find the position fits my understanding of politics, I still cringed when I saw that Barr was the canidate for the LP. I would never have supported him. I'm not a fan of the guy. Not even a little bit.

Bob Barr is crooked as all hell... and he stands no chance in hell of winning.

I still don't really understand why they picked Barr. Maybe a large influx of disgruntled republicans joining the party, or the party trying to reach out to disgruntled republicans, could explain it.
However, his is famously against some of the libertarian positions that i find admirable, like gay rights and abortion access.

You can bet it was a payoff of sorts, aren't all them? He made money for or protected existing money.

I just question why we are given the choices of candidates we are? Isn't there anyone better out there?

What we need to understand is that the Constitution is being demolished.

New World Order is the law of the world now. Our currency is changed and the people of the world are being reduced to worker bees by the elite "Neo-Cons".

No one will be elected who is not one of the elite Neo Cons. Elections here are just to make the people think they still have some control. We the people have given away our power to the government.

Too bad news about him is being covered by the "bigger" profile candidates.
