traveling solo 5-8th. Suggest some good strains.. also some good coffeeshops.

I want to try the best strains. I like both indica and sativa.


PS: I don't like coffeeshops with only male staff.. they are generally a rip-off.
unless they have really good weed. I have not managed to find such a place yet.

All the "male-staff" places really suck.. maybe one near Leidsplien is ok (cannot remember the name) but its really huge with a pool table.
Also the bulldog is ok .. not the best.

 

First of all, if you concider the Bulldog even ok, anyplace will do for you.

The bulldog is a nice place to hang out but if you concider the weed there good, cut your lawn and smoke the trimmings, about the same effect.

Basicly just stay outta Bulldog and a handfull of others and you should be ok. Barneys is really one to stay out of but they are one of the most famous. The only reason I say to stay away is their prices. They usualy charge about 2E or so more a gram than other places.

Well that's enough to get you started, this is just the East side for the most part. With a little research you'll fill in the rest of the city, I would do it but I'm gettin real tired of typing...LOL

 

Have you ever been to Amsterdam? Just to start with: Old Style has not been a coffeeshop for about 5 years and has been totally closed for at least 3 years;
Lacanna has been closed most of this year and will not reopen again most likely. This place always got the worst reviews for their cannabis.

Oh shit!!!...I hadent even noticed that those 2 we're still in this list. It's an old crawl list we used about 6 or 7 years ago. I use it to as a response to the same old question of Suggest some good strains.. also some good coffeeshops.
It's actualy a great list that takes you in a pretty much straight line that is doable in one day. Outta the list as it stands now the only one I would cut out is Rasta Baby. And yes I've been to Amsterdam plenty of times , I'd even dare to say more times than most people. Most of the strains listed in my post are good as of July where I compleated trip # twenty something , think it's around 28 by now. So sorry for the typo, when all I was trying to do is help someone. Not a good idea to flame someone who goes to that much length and trouble to answer a question that gets asked and answered 3 or 4 times a week.

I can't remember how much comes in a box, but if you are a first time user, don't eat more than 10 grams & eat them on an empty stomach.

Use Tatanka's list of strength and purchase what you think you can handle.

Do yourself a favor and tell the shopkeeper that this is your first time and they should give you plenty of advice.

In my opinion I would........
Try 5 grams then wait 30 - 45 min and if you arent where you want to be eat some more. repeat process till you get where you want to be.

I'm really not sure if being alone is a real good idea for your first time, scince you really don't know what to expect, it's majorly diffrent than smoking weed!!!!!! But you know how strong of a mind you have and what you can handle. Use at your own discretion.

I'm kind of keen to take them but a bit scared as I'll be solo. Of course, I'll follow the advise and check the the good guide. They always say 'never take it alone'.
Is it ok to take them and stay in a hotel room by myself.. maybe watch a movie or something?

 

I'm not a big fan at all, I've only tried it once and that was enough for me. I bought a 1/2 gram, rolled a test J, took 2 hits and put it out & gave the rest of the G away to a real happy guy. The only problem was it has a taste that I didnt exactly care for. I knew then why they call it diesel. Your taste might be different however, go for it.:cheers2:

I always buy a 1/2 gram first if I can as a test when I'm trying a new strain, that way I don't waste as much money if i'm not gonna finish it.


As far as Grey Area not being open when you got there.....Don't put too much stock in their posted open and close times. They are a couple of real cool guys that own the store however they have a tendency to endulge in their wares and have a tendency to oversleep or just procrastinate and open late and close a tad early. If you do catch them open work with John is the one with the glasses. Coolest guy I've met in A-dam. I doubt he will remember me but tell him Paul from RI said hi.

You could have a medical reaction & then you'd be screwed!!!!!

The trip could go very wrong (bad trip) and you won't have anyone there to help you through it. That's when people end up hurting themselves.

I got scared for the same reasons F Z mentioned.
But now I regret it
Will be going back real soon, just to try them. This time I will be more prepared with information and plans.

The trip was great. Gray area is closed after 8 pm.. that was the reason I missed it last time.
