my cat smokes weed with me.

Sometimes when I'm smoking weed at my house with some friends, my cat walks over and sits down on the table just where we are smoking. Just last week I posted in the marijuana forum about how my cat ate my marijuana plant I had. In a way, my cat is concenting to second hand-cannibis smoke by walking over to us, even following us at times. I just wanted to know if you people think its wrong, or anything. Its cool having a fat cat who loves weed, and watching tv.

 

I dont think it's cool to get an animal high or blow smoke in their face or anything to that effect. It sounds like from your post all you are doing is not moving her/him out of the way when you are smoking. My cat hangs around me while I smoke but if I were in a small room with little ventilation, I would make sure to keep him out. I dont want his little lungs to be effected by what Im choosing to do....and I dont want to get them high. IMO it is animal abuse. Animals are just like children to me....you wouldnt blow smoke in your baby's face would you? Some people say animals enjoy getting high.....I think that's crap and a stupid excuse to do something cruel for your own entertainment. I'm not accusing you of blowing smoke in your cat's face...but since we are kinda on the subject Im just voicing my opinion. Actually, I had a friend once who got my cat high while I was at work. When I got home everyone was laughing about it...like "oh look at the cat he looks so confused" ...he was kinda laying there all lathargic, I was pissed and kicked everyone out of my house. My gf and I have a cat.. the cutest little guy ever.. he has lukemia but he is ok.. Everytime we smoke a bowl, the second we spark it he comes running and sits right next to us and looks at us. I don't think its too cool to just blow smoke right in an animals face, but we'll blow it above his head and he sticks his head up and sniffs.. he loves it.. its so cute.
My gf tried growing once.. but our cat got to it and ate it too... lol

 

You guys, I never blew smoke into my cats face, I just sort of blew it in the air, then my cat would just follow the smoke... into the kitchen! Of course, at times when the smoke gets really heavy I bring my cat into another room. But don't you agree that when a cat continuously comes back for more thats in a way consenting?

My sister has a cat, a newborn persian kitten, and one day, after she had bought a nice baggie of weed from a friend, came home to find her weed on the floor, with her cat rolling around it in, and smelling it, and eating it. Of course she was upset, but that just proves that cats have a mind of their own, and can make a decision such as "should I inhale my human's smoke or not?" And in my opinion, its not animal abuse if the animal in question wants some happy smoke.

 

lol, my cats fucking open the doors. I don't have a choice. If they want it, they come in, whether I'm smoking or not. If they want in that bad, I say fuck it, let them smoke up with me.

 

ha, now if only they could toke like the iguana did in Nice Dreams.. that would be fuckin' awesome. My cat also watches TV with me when hes stoned. I swear he just sits on the couch and stares at the thing. Also, he hates the 'Arts Channel', and so do I. I think my cat's favorite strain is northern lights, he seesm to be attracted to that smell more.

 

I have a bunny. She's always around when I smoke, however I do not blow smoke into her face. But I always give her the option to sniff the air by blowing above her. She loves it, and she gets the munchies BAD

 

my dog gets high. but its nto from me blowing smoke at her or anything, she smells it on me right after i smoke and then is going crazy for food and barks for a while then is really mellow. i think she likes it.....

My friend's cat was fed acid by her brother...poor thing's never been the same...

 

Heh. My cats love it when I build a fire in the barbeque. They try to peer in at the flames and stuff. They don't seem to be afraid of fire at all.

Of course, they know I'm going to be cooking chicken or chops,
so maybe that has something to do with it

yeah, they we freaking out, so I gave them some, and it just got worse! My mom was like, "yeah, it's weed for cats". To me, that translates into, "It calms the cats down", not make them go fucking bonkers.

 

I had a kitten who used to get on the arm of the couch when I was smoking and put her nose above the stream of smoke off the joint. Now that was free choice.

I think it's wrong to blow smoke in an animals face and I've done all I can to protect my cat but he CRIES if I don't allow him near me when I smoke. He hates cigarette smoke and once and a while when I'm broke and gotta buy schwag he doesn't like that either, but if I'm smoking some good nuggets then he will climb on my lap and either put his face near my mouth or near the bowl. I don't want to see him burned so I blow it over his head. He stands up and tries to catch it. I never trained him to like it he just is naturally attracted to it. I really don't like it and I don't know if it affects cats in a way any more harmful than it is to people. Then again he is my baby and I hate to listen to him cry and meow for not toking with him. )
