I bought a laptop!

it's my first one ever, and I already love it.
it's one of these things (small 8.9in computer), and I bought the most basic version, upgraded it to its maximum amount of RAM (1.5GB) and given its low hard drive space, I also bought a 120GB external hard drive, which is powered by USB.

awesome!

all of this glorious technology cost me a total of $370.
and the first thing I do once I connect it to the Internet? download firefox, and promptly proceed to hipforums.. oh, and had a beer of course.

im getting my very own first laptop soon for college; im going to be getting an alienware with 4gbs of ram and a 2.8ghz extreme duo processor :drool5:

 

Congrats my friend... Someone was going to throw out the laptop I have, they thought it was busted, but I knew it just needed a new hard drive, so they just gave it to me, ordered a new hard drive off the net and Viola! Like new...

 

my respect for you has increased, shroomie. you are one of few people who can appreciate the beauty of foot fungus and is computer savvy at the same time.

jared, if I were in college, a computer like that would sound about right. you can probably hook it up to a nice big screen as well, with all the tech so freely available these days.

I'm hella in love with my new computer, so small and slick and perfect for travelling.

Laptops are nice, especially when you don't have to pay tons of money for them...

I want one of these...

Bamboo tablet... Would make photoshop so much easier and I want to play with it...

I heart laptops. Now I buy all my stuff to go along with it, to match it. Even my ipod stuff, all white.

I like the old school ones, that when you're done, you're left with this whistle that doesn't work, and they color your tongue.

 

I know those Netbooks are amazing.
I'm just wondering what the cpus are like with em.

those make me happy because they are so synonymous with theme parks in my experience. they have them at a few casinos locally, so sometimes, when I am really feeling down, I'll get a foot wide rainbow swirl lollipop, and the world will be a better place.

 

hehhe! They do that for me too. So do candy apples, but I never eat the apple.
