Hey so I'm someone who is always quoting songs n movies in everyday life... so What's your Favorite song Lyric?

So I can't say a best or fav, cuz it'll change every hour but I actualy chose a stanza rather then a line....

Hurt is actually a cover of a NIN song, but while NIN made it sound like teenage angst, Johnny Cash made it sound like the wisdom of a man who's seen it all.

nah, it's not, go look it up, in fact most of every American Recordings albums Johnny put out is cover songs.

And Trent had this to say on it:
Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor admitted that he was initially "flattered" but worried that "the idea (of Cash covering "Hurt") sounded a bit gimmicky," but when he heard the song and saw the video for the first time, Reznor said he was deeply moved and found Cash's cover beautiful and meaningful. He later said in an interview, "I just lost my girlfriend, because that song isn't mine anymore."

 

i did hear the nin cover of it not bad but Jonnys was far better in my opinion

I know right, like it's 2 totally different songs almost, and Cash just makes that song his own.

There's something wrong with fear of commercial success, I would love for unknown bands I know to be successful because i think they should be and I think more people need to listen then.
