It definitely makes a difference!
The longer you go without the better it is when you finally do. (in my opinion, anyway)

 

Due to a side effect of medication I have the opposite of premature ejaculation inasmuch as it takes me far too long to reach a climax - stamina may be all well & good, but when it reaches the point that both you & your partner start to get bored, that's a bit too far. Therefore, when I know have a sex date lined up I try to abstain from masturbation for at least 24 hours beforehand, or longer if (a) I have the willpower or (b) if I have sufficient notice. This can be helpful by making it easier to climax.

However, to anyone who doesn't have such a problem, or actually suffers from premature ejaculation, then regular masturbation just beforehand is advisable as the amount of time it takes you to reach a climax can be directly proportional to the amount of time since your last orgasm. I've even been with some men who, despite being sufferers of premature ejaculation, where they climax almost as soon as any contact is made with the penis, can often be re-aroused shortly afterwards & brought to a satisfactory 2nd orgasm.

The rest period required is totally variable from person to person, from a few minutes, to a few days.

I don't know if I would describe the orgasm as 'better' though, as I don't think it feels any different, as such - just a lot more welcome. More a case of "Absence makes the heart grow fonder". After all, if you masturbate on a regular daily / multi-daily basis, then, although still pleasurable, it becomes purely a matter of routine, yet if you choose to deny yourself the pleasure for a certain amount of time, then you look forward far more to the event & when you eventually get there, you appreciate it far more.

 

i think from what ive heard from men, it can make a difference for them. for me though, my orgasm is no more or less intense whether its the first time for weeks or the third time that day.

 

Yes, being totally, physically charged for sex does make it more pleasurable.

With males it is physiological and depends individually on how long the recovery period is between orgasms.

When I was younger I could have several orgasms a day, but the first one was the most intense. (my most were 5 in one morning sleeping in with my cousin)

As I age, I'm only good for 1 a day. OK, recently I got turned on and managed two in one day, but that is the exception. Also, I don't squirt like I did as a teenager and 20-something, which also felt more intense than my present orgasms. (You do have a choice - die or get old. I chose the latter.)
