I didn't shop at WD when I lived in the south, and I certainly wouldn't work there. I was a Food World employee (about 10 years before you were born!) and they were pretty bad in the 70s. I remember the union trying to come in and they fired people in droves. And we had to wear stupid white shirts and bowties just to bag groceries and push carts out to the parking lot for old people. And weren't allowed to accept tips. I guess I'm lucky that I can freelance at what I do and don't have to rely on some company to hire me. I'm glad you have a backup plan and I hope everything turns out well for you Therese.
can you go to some sort of school? Either a trade school or college, or even night school to pick up a skill?I know havving jobs that dicked me around are the only real thing that motivated me to go back to school all the times i 'took a break'.
Thank you, Zoomie. I certainly could Bella, just not at the moment. That still takes money, and I don't have any at all. Current goal is just to change that.
