my friend asks me who i was voting for and i said right now, Obama because hes as liberal as liberal gets and that what the people need right now. if we go with mccain, this war is never ever going to end. so my friend says "i like war, because theres too many people in this world" .... that really broke my heart that being a republican himself, he thinks that. I told him those men out there, died for no reason, for a set up war, just so those republicans can laugh and bush can say he done his dad's job. Im so sick of republicans, not so much republicans but the way people think nowadays. its bringing my spirit way the fuck down
You're aware that Obama plans on beefing up the army/marines and continuing the war, right? Liberal my ass. You should be sick of the whole game, not just one side of the same coin.
The two-party system is so vile and corrupt that even George Washington saw things coming to the point they're at now...I hold no hope for any sort of radical 'change' under Obama's regime, although he is the lesser of the two evils because the Republican party is becoming more and more like your friend...detached from any sense of humanity or reality. And yes, I gotta say it: Ron Paul was the closest thing we had to a chance to 'change' things, and the ignorant sheeple were scared of how much sense he made. Your friend isn't related to the Rockefeller family is he? If so, I would understand why he thinks the way he does. As for you, I'd cheer up...it's all over in 2012 anyhow, lol.
It doesn't matter who'll be elected, it's still the same assholes behind the scenes, pulling the strings..
Yeah, don't get your hopes up, no matter who is elected, things will be the same..you're just suckered in to picking the lesser of the 2 evils and you feel okay with it.. And as for the 2012 comment, you do know nothing.. Peace
the problem of course being that when nothing happens in 2012, you'll be totally unscathed by being a sheep regarding this bullshit for however long you have. there are no consequences for being wrong about it, because afterward anyone who picks on you about it can be easily parried with a "I didn't want the world to end, I'm happy I was wrong" or similar bullshit. a no risk theory being used to present yourself as more intelligent ("you know nothing") seems to me like a whole lot of bullshit held by insecure people who want to believe this non-empirical hogwash because it makes you feel special in your monotonous meaninglessness just accept the lack of meaning and move the fuck on.
That's a cute response, but you too have no idea. I'm not saying anything will happen, right? I'm saying don't be such a sheep to think nothing will happen. Wake up..
Non empirical? did you know that 2012 was predicted by the mayans, who also happened to predict most astronomic fenomena that we have been aware of with an error margin of about 30 minutes? You can say what you want, but the Mayan calendar will still be the most presice callendar ever made. Also, 2012 isn't "the end" as most people say. It's the end of a sicle, and it is very empirical, it has to do with our solar system entering the Galactic Day, which is similar to the solar day, on a larger scale, and not with light, but with another form of energy. Can't remember which though. Look it up, it's very interesting. Also, I'd rather refuse the lack of meaning. We live in a world where we are forced every day to accept the lack of meaning, and I'm sick of it. You should be too. And to return on teh topic, politicians are all the same, they are all within this materialistic system that works on egoism, and because of that, they can't really change things, just make them look different.
Dave, im glad you posted your thoughts but the people who DO say that people online 'know nothing' or any remark to being a 'dummy' are insecure about themselves, they start trouble ( on a forum ) cause they have nothing else better to do. I may not know a whole lot about politics but i do know its a joke or its a game, I just happen to like Obama better than Mccain, that doesnt make me a dummy. and it also doesn't make me one not believing the 2012 bullshit. I just like to see the future get better and not worry about a date I didnt want your stupid opinion or comment snoc, remember that little saying I told ya, if you dont have anything nice to say, DONT SAY IT AT ALL. but obviously you cant get that to your head.
12.21.12 is not supposed to be the appocalypse; as in the above quote it is supposed to be more of an age of asscention and spiritual enlightenment, furthermore anyone claims to know exactly what will happen in the future and isn't God herself is a damn fool. Secondly with reguards to Sen. Obama v. Sen. Mccain: if you want a hothead cowboy diplomat who will start a few more needless wars in the middle east then by all means vote for Mccain. If you want some one who will at least try to find a peaceful solution and treat other countries with respect and gain their help and trust in missions we undertake accross the globe then Obama is probably your choice. Obama's position on beefing up the military isn't a bad one either, thanks to the last eight years there are a few hundred million really pissed off Arabs that want us dead, and considering how streched our military is in Iraq and Afghanistan we could use a little breathing room in case a real threat arises. Thirdly Ron Paul: Ron was a revolutionary candidate and did support a non-US hegemonic platform which i am totally in agreement with (and so is Sen. Obama though to a lesser extent) this country needs to stop trying to be the worlds policeman; however he supported many fringe ideas that would have ruined this country and the people in it such as dismanteling the department of education and other social programs that keep the worst of us in school, keep food on our tables, and clothes on our backs. A Ron Paul administration would have been four years of deregulation unimaginable even under George Bush. So if you want to see teenagers taking out student loans for high school please keep talking about how awesome Ron Paul is.
yeah....coming back to the title of the thread, we don't have too many people, we just don't manage ourselves correctly. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. It's a sad day when you realise that perhaps money does indeed make the money go round. We, as a race, seriously need to sort ourselves out, but I fear it has gone too far, and the people that should be in charge stand at the sidelines. Our world needs radical changes to at least equalize the place in terms of poverty. It'll take many years, more than our lifetimes...
exactly what i was saying in my first post, this country doesnt need more war, its a needless thing and thats why i think obama should handle it, either way, forget "lack of experience" cause either way, if mccain is elected and he croaks or backs out, we'll have another lack of experience president
nobody knows for sure. i believe in God. at the hardest times, my faith has proven to be enough. sometimes, hope is all that matters.
