New R.E.M album around the sun

I am a realy big R.E.M fan and I am very dissapointed man. Im sorry to say this but their new album is not so good. I hope it grows on me. Peter Buck what is he up to? All the songs are basically bland. And what is up with adding the rap? Cmon . Well I guess they were just trying something new. Anyways. I love the old r.e.m not this new stuff. LOL

I thought it was good, ok it is more of a 'product' than you would expect from REM but i like it. Its not their best album but its fine for chilling out too. Theres nothing here like 'Losing my Religion', 'Stand' or the more upbeat REM songs, which is probably the direction they will go in from now on.

 

Obviously you have not listened to Out of Time, on which there is a song featuring KRS-ONE.

And I have no problem with rap. I have a problem with rappers. Contrary to what some idiots believe, not all rappers are mysoginist, idiot druggies and murderers. There are some rappers who actually say something, Mos Def and Talib Kweli being two of the most popular.

 

I didn't like them after Document really...Green was ok I guess.
