If there's no medical use for pot, then why is it the only substance on earth that can make hospital food edible?
hey man when I was in the hospital the food was actually pretty good. kinda weird cause I had always heard it sucked. and besides, who cares if it sucks, when else can you have liek ice cream and shit for breakfest?
It really makes me wonder how this 'medicine' is legal in some parts of this country, yet remains illegal in most of it.... What kind of country is this?
It also makes me wonder how alot of pharmaceuticals are legal but not weed when weed has been proven to be less harmless than quite a few pharmaceutical drugs prescribed for trivial things such as back pain or arthritis... Like wtf
I wouldn't call back pain and arthritis trivial because both of them can be pretty debilitating, but I agree with you on everything else.
it actually depends on the cause. If the arthritis is from an autoimmune response, weed can help be reducing the inflammation, which reduces the pain. I do agree it's not for everything, but it's good for enough, like opiates, that it should be a pharmacological addition. It has its uses, and just because it's not the penultimate panacea, that doesn't mean it's valueless.
Exactly, back pain can have people sprawled on the floor trying desperately to alleviate their pain by not putting weight on their spine. Arthritis can stop people from being able to do things they love, or even tasks we find as mundane like typing on a keyboard. I know I have my fair share of back pain and weed most certainly helps.
I think weed might have helped my ciatica (sp?) but I also think biking alot more and eating much healthier could have helped alleviate it too since I'm just overall stronger and in better shape now than I have been in the past.
one of the intresting things about weed is it helps ease the strain on the dopergenic system, as well as modulate serotonin breakdown, both of which, when run down, can actually cause pain sensations to become more severe. So even if it has no direct analgesic properties, it can reduce pain perception significantly by preserving the bodily systems that prevent us from feeling pain intensely in the first place. That's part of why it has a use for Fibromyalgia paitients, as well as easing the effects of IBS and chronic pain conditions.
Alcohol = A human made poison, no positive effects, legal? Marijuana = Natural herb/weed, known positive effects, illegal...?
i dont like taking any sort of pain killers or things like that unless im in hospital but if im in any sort of pain i think a bowl or two goes a long way...eases the pain and distracts you too
