I'm not good at gifts. I don't like real jewelry on me or anyone else. I got in trouble when I was poor and living with this woman. I'd buy her things we needed and give them to her as gifts. Like vacuum cleaners and microwave ovens. She left me because she thought I was hinting that she didn't cook or clean. Of course she took all the stuff when she left.

No actually HHB is correct. Dishwashers are one of the least green appliances.

Well she really is a bitch if she didnt understand your situation and the fact that you were poor and had no money for gifts. You shouldnt have let her take all that stuff with her ! Not fair.

we dont celebrate any holidays or special occasions here so gifting is pretty much non existent in this house..

i don't think making bread by hand is a pain in the ass... i find it to be relaxing....

 

i don't care if it's not green; i don't like them because they require extra effort to do the same job. it's easy as hell to just wash each dish as it gets dirty. it's much harder to get a bunch of dishes in the sink, pre-wash all of them, load them into the dishwasher, run the dishwasher, then put away a dishwasher full of dishes.
