I do not believe in astrology, although I do believe that everything is connected. But astrologers tell us that history proceeds in approximately 2000 year long astrological ages, and that we are currently just a few hundred years from the end of the Age of Pisces, and the beginnig of the Age of Aquarius. They also say that the key phrase for Pisces is "I Believe," and the key phrase for Aquarius is "I Know." This would indicate that we are moving from an age of faith, i.e., mystical belief, to an age of science. (Science is a means for extracting knowledge from reality, and "science" comes from a Latin word meaning "to know.) Although i don't believe in astrology, I will continue to use these terms metaphorically. As we move from the Piscean Age to the Aquarian Age, religions are going to be based much more on scientifically verifiable knowledge, than upon mystically derived faith/belief. Religious celebrations will be more about real Celebration than about dogmatic ceremony. Most importantly, valid Aquarian religions will focus more on practice than on preaching, and the main practice will be that of tolerance, in a spirit of LIVE AND LET LIVE! The Age of Aquarius is the New Age. The Age of Aquarius, the New Age, will also be a TRUE age of Reason, of Love, and of Science. Of course, I do not know this to be true, but I do know that this can be our future, and our reality, if this is our focus, not merely as individuals, but as humanity.
They also say that the key phrase for Pisces is "I Believe," and the key phrase for Aquarius is "I Know." This would indicate that we are moving from an age of faith, i.e., mystical belief, to an age of science. With your second sentence, it is not the only way to understand that change Believe is for those who do not know: When God comes himself and manifest to every people on earth, then people would stop believe huh? They would know, no?
it is true that believe is for those who do not know. But when you say "When God comes himself and manifest to every people on earth, then people would stop believe huh? They would know, no?" you are PRESUPPOSING a situation which has not happened, just as if I said about Leprochauns, unicorns, Santa Claus, that "if they appeard to you, you would KNOW that they exist." Sure, I WOULD know IF that happened. And IF God manifested in the way you described, then we WOULD have actual knowledge, rather than faith or belief, but that is not actually the case today, of course. There is actually a Church that I am involved in, called the Church of the Aquarian Spirit, which requires no dogma whatsoever, and where the Celebrations are truly celebrations, with no formal or dogmatic service, other than that people get together and agree to follow the One Sacred Law of the Church of the Aquarian Spirit, which is LIVE AND LET LIVE. It's based, apprpriately enough, in the Town of Bethel, NY, home of the 1969 Woodstock festival, itself billed as "an Aquarian Exposition." Part of the goal of the church is to establish a commune based on the rule of LIVE AND LET LIVE, and another part, which is already happening, is the Celebrations that are based on the same principle. Usually, weather permitting, we build a fire and play drums at night, in bad weather we play in the Church. But even this is not a dogmatically formal service, actually we can do pretty much anything we want here.
"you are PRESUPPOSING a situation which has not happened," Yes that is what I do If the Whole (linked to God maybe) become conscious He is the Whole, He knows it Does that help?
In the interest of unity, we may one day ground our beliefs in a spirit of enquiry and interaction rather than dogmatic texts and declarations.....but this process of change will be gradual.
