Salvia Tincture of Success

Finally after months of thoughts on the subject and a few failed experiments. I did actually manage to succeed in procuring an active tincture. Powdering 1oz of leaf in a coffee grinder. I doubled the volume of leaf with 91% rubbing alcohol (It's all I could find) in a canning jar. I shook for 10 min and poured off the solvant into a seperate container. I did this 3x using new solvant each time and adding all the extracted solvants together. I let the solvant sit in a dark place overnite to let the sediments fall to the bottom of the jar. I carefully poured off the solvant leaving behind the sediments. The solvant was evaporated and the residue scraped up into a fine green powder. I put this in my 1oz tincture bottle and filled with everclear to about the 3/4 mark.

 

The tincture was done at nite after my family fell asleep. I layed in a quiet dark place (my livingroom on the couch). I put 4 droppers worth of tincture under my tongue (since thats all I can hold at one time) and held for ten minutes. The tincture burns bad at first. At about the ten minute mark I could feel something. I washed down the tincture with a sip of water and repeated the same amount for 10 min. By the 3rd round I was turned on. Effects were very similar to smoked salvia at this point but much longer in duration. Kind of like taking a hit of 10x. It seemed that the salvinorin took effect within the 10min absorbtion and remained constant for about 1hr and lasting for 3hr total. No outworld hallucinations at all. No effect with eyes open. When eyes were closed visions would appear and salvia sensations of dissolving, rotating visuals, innervoices, echoing thoughts etc. I could definitely feel it working on my opioid receptors. Very relaxing, numbing, and peaceful. Thoughts of using a blindfold and meditative music seemed that it may facilitate more vivid visions. I finished at the 5th round. By this point I was fully immerssed in the tincture. I would have tried smoking 10x with the effect, but my salvia was by the bed and I did not want to disturb my wife. I could only think how to get to this point without all the dropperfuls. If I could get to this point on the first dose. It would be easier to work with on a regular basis. All I can remember after that thought was a very detailed lesson of tincture making. Using salvia, calea, kava, kratom, blue lotus, ephedra, and the possiblity of sublingual DMT. I used half the tincture which was around 1/2 the ounce of the leafs worth. I feel I could make a more potent tincture according to my visions and pack extract from 4oz of leaf into 1oz tincture bottle. I would say 1/2 oz or 35mg of salvinorin is a good strong dose. I see being fully satisfied absorbing 1oz or 70mg along with smoking enhanced leaf during the trip. The next day I was happy about the success. It seemed I was divined and given the answers I had been searching for. Very mysterious and natural.

 

To make purified salvinorin. You would use the same extraction process using acetone as your extracting solvant. Except be careful cause the acetone dissolves your rubber seal on the bottom part of the lid. I would suggest using a pre~dissolved seal lid and put a paper towel around the lid and jar under twisting part so it doesn't lock up on you when you try to open it. The evaporated extract is washed in a small glass jar using naptha. It's washed and solvant pulled off with a dropper then re~washed until solvant is clear. then evaporate. The resource I have been studying under cleans his crystals further with 99% rubbing alcohol. I still need to test this method.

Acetone is 23mg per ml

Ethanol is 1.73mg per ml

99% Rubbing alcohol is .77mg per ml

After my experiments with the revived entheogens. I have come to the conclusion that in our present state of modern society. Salvia is the best choice of the entheogenic sacraments for regular use by modern civilized society. Not until recently has salvia been discovered by the world. But its use is still being understood and not long lived amongst the mazatec natives and the rest of us. This tincture is the answer to practical psychedelic medicine and theory. The enhanced leaf is too quick and set and setting are crucial. The tincture is quick to come on, strong, and short lived so you can get up the next day and work. It is only to be used at nite while lying down in the blackest darkness you can. Smoking enhanced leaf while under the effect of the tincture should not only magnify the tinctures effect. The tincture should act as a catylyst to carry the smokes power for a longer period of time. Being homogenous with the tincture.
