Another head hangs lowly Child is slowly taken And the violence caused such silence Who are we mistaken But You see it's not me, It's not my family In your head,in your Head they are fighting With their tanks, and their bombs And their bombs, and their guns In your head, In your head they are cryin' In your head Zombie What's in your head, in your head Zombie Another mother's breakin' Heart is taking over When the violence causes silence We must be mistaken It's the same old theme since 1916 In your head, In your head they're still fightin' With their tanks In your head they are dying In your head, in your head Zombie What's in your head, in your head Zombie heard this song for the first time the other day and i really like the singer zombie- the cranberries
i don't think johnny cash is the original writer of this song- nin first recorded it in 1994 i believe.
Rehab-"Sittin at a Bar". Listen to it, if you haven't heard it. It's funny as hell. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-_Cstkk6Jc Bartender, I really did it this time Broke my parole to have a good time When I got home, it was 6am The door was locked, so I kicked it in She was trippin on the bills I think she was high on some pills She threw my shit out into the yard Then she called me a bum and slapped me real hard And in my drunken stupor, I did what I should've never done Now I'm sittin here, talkin to you, drunk and on the run (Sittin at a bar on the inside Waitin for my ride on the outside She broke my heart in the trailerpark So I jacked the keys to her fuckin car Crashed that piece of shit and then stepped away) Oh no, I'll probably get 10 years So just give me beers till they get here Yeah, I know the sun is comin And yall are probably gettin ready for closin up But I'm trying to drown my soul I'm tired of this life on a dirtroad Everything that I love is gone And I'm tired of hangin on (She's got me sittin at a bar on the inside Waitin for my ride on the outside She stole my heart in the trailerpark So I jacked the keys to her fuckin car And crashed that piece of shit and then stepped away)
Pink Floyd: High Hopes beyond the horizon of the place we lived when we were young In a world of magnets and miracles our troughts strayed constandly and without boundary The ringing of the division bell had begin Along the long road and on down the causeway Do they still meet there by the cut There was a ragged band that followed in our footsteps Running before time took our dreams away Leaving the myriad small creatures trying to tie us to the ground To a life consumed by slow decay The grass was greener The light was brighter With friends surrounded The night of wonder Looking beyond the embers of bridges glowing behind us To a glimpse of how green it was on the other side Steps taken forwards but sleepwalking back again Dragged by the force of some inner tide At a higher altitude with flag unfuried We reached the dizzy heights of that dreamed of world Eneumbered forever by desire and ambition There's a hunger still unsatisfied Our weary eyes still stray to the horizon Though down this road we've been so many time The grass was greener The light was brighter The taste was sweeter The nights of wonder With friends surrounded The dawn mist glowing The water flowing The endless river
Sure it would be great for bands to make millions but when they get to that level they always loose integrity. Most of the bands I love have never had commecial.... mainstream success. Call me selfish but I love seeing a band I like with only 2000 other people, I've been to those 15k outdoor shows, 30k indoor shows... it's just not the same vibe
nah. the minute a band gets big, it's more expensive to go see them play. and their music 9 times out of 10 gets worse than their 'original' stuff.
My tea's gone cold, I'm wondering why I got out of bed at all The morning rain clouds up my window and I can't see at all And even if I could it'd all be grey, but your picture on my wall It reminds me that it's not so bad, it's not so bad Im a Dido fan

1."there's a heart in that cage with a constant tempo change" 2."faith and desire and the swing of your hips" 3."rebel rousers the life long rockers and the dead end kids. we're all fine just like glitter and gold" 4."i'm in my new bunny suit, and in it i feel cute." 5."butterflies are passive aggressive, but they're beautiful." 6."you fought for stalin. i fought for freedom. you believe in authority. i believe in myself."
I'm the stronghold on your neck that doesn't let you breathe Stronger than the fake image of God in which you believe More dangerous than your ignorant ass could ever percieve A European virus, mutated in Africa, overseas Transported by mosquitoes and fleas to where you live So lock yourself in your house with your wife and your kids Immortal Technique
My fav Floyd song Echoes.. Fav Line from it. Strangers passing in the street By chance two separate glances meet And I am you and what I see is me. And do I take you by the hand And lead you through the land And help me understand The best I can. and crap my lighters dead.. you never find that out til it's too late
These arnt my favorite but I have them stuck in my head REaLLLLY badly right now to the point that I dreamt about the song last night, maybe writing it all down will get it out of my head? Hopefully. Raisins come from grapes, People come from apes, I come from Canada. I came in first place, In a non-existent race, To rebuild the Parthenon. The Parthenon’s in Greece, Or was it in Grease 2? I can’t keep my movies straight. When I make mistakes, I use a lot of salt, Salt makes mistakes taste great. I’ve got orange pants, I wear them when I dance, But I don’t get out that much. You are just too loud, I passed you in a crowd, Thank you and keep in touch. I don’t speak Chinese, Not even words like ‘Please’, ‘Thank you’ or ‘How are you’. But I can parle Francais, I parled a bit today, It seemed like the thing to do. It's from the Barenaked Ladies childrens album, and I sang it for like 45 minutes yesterday when I was giving the kid I babysit a bath, and now its carved into my brain! Wayyyy to catchy
The Cranberries are Irish haha i havnt listened to this song in ages but i love the lyrics We can chase down all our enemies Bring them to their knees we can bomb the world to pieces but we cant bomb it into peace Spearhead & Micheal Franti - Bomb The World
Big A, little A, bouncing B The system might have got you but it won't get me 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 External control are you gonna let them get you? Do you wanna be a prisoner in the boundaries they set you? You say you want to be yourself, by christ do you think they'll let you? They're out to get you get you get you get you get you get you get you Hello, hello, hello, this is the Lord God, can you hear? Hellfire and damnation's what I've got for you down there On earth I have ambassadors, archbishop, vicar, pope We'll blind you with morality, you'd best abandon hope, We're telling you you'd better pray cos you were born in sin Right from the start we'll build a cell and then we'll lock you in We sit in holy judgement condemning those that stray We offer our forgiveness, but first we'll make you pay External control are you gonna let them get you? Do you wanna be a prisoner in the boundaries they set you? You say you want to be yourself, by christ do you think they'll let you? They're out to get you get you get you get you get you get you get you Hello, hello, hello, now here's a massage from your queen As figurehead of the status quo I set the social scene I'm most concerned about my people, I want to give them peace So I'm making sure they stay in line with my army and police My prisons and my mental homes have ever open doors For those amongst my subjects who dare to ask for more Unruliness and disrespect are things I can't allow So I'll see the peasants grovel if they refuse to bow External control are you gonna let them get you? Do you wanna be a prisoner in the boundaries they set you? You say you want to be yourself, by christ do you think they'll let you? They're out to get you get you get you get you get you get you get you Introducing the Prime Sinister, she's a mother to us all Like the Dutch boy's finger in the dyke her arse is in the wall Holding back the future waiting for the seas to part If Moses did it with his faith, she'll do it with an army Who at times of threatened crisis are certain to be there Guarding national heritage no matter what or where Palaces for kings and queens, mansions for the rich Protection for the wealthy, defence of privilege They've learnt the ropes In Ireland, engaged in civil war Fighting for the ruling classes in their battle against the poor So Ireland's just an island? It's an island of the mind Great Britain? Future? Bollocks, you'd better look behind Round every other corner stands P.C. 1984 Guardian of the future, he'll implement the law He's there as a grim reminder that no matter what you do Big brothers system's always there with his beady eyes on you From God to local bobby, in home and street and school They've got your name and number while you've just got their rule We've got to look for methods to undermine those powers It's time to change the tables. The future must be ours Big A, little A, bouncing B The system might have got you but it won't get me Be exactly who you want to be, do what you want to do I am he and she is she but you're the only you No one else has got your eyes, can see the things you see It's up to you to change your life and my life's up to me The problems that you suffer from are problems that you make The shit we have to climb through is the shit we choose to take If you don't like the life you live, change it now it's yours Nothing has effects if you don't recognise the cause If the programme's not the one you want, get up, turn off the set It's only you that can decide what life you're gonna get If you don't like religion you can be the antichrist If your tired of politics you can be an anarchist But no one ever changed the church by pulling down a steeple And you'll never change the system by bombing number ten Systems just aren't made of bricks they're mostly made of people You may send them into hiding, but they'll be back again If you don't like the rules they make, refuse to play their game If you don't want to be a number, don't give them your name If you don't want to be caught out, refuse to hear their question Silence is a virtue, use it for your own protection They'll try to make you play their game, refuse to show your face If you don't want to be beaten down, refuse to join their race Be exactly who you want to be, do what you want to do I am he and she is she but you're they only you Always liked those lyrics from Big A Little A by Crass
"...gotta get up and be somebody...." Ol Dirty Bastard "....how are you so burnt, when you're barely on fire?...." Courtney Love
I took my love, I took it down Climbed a mountain and I turned around I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills till the landslide brought me down Oh, mirror in the sky What is love Can the child within my heart rise above Can I sail thru the changing ocean tides Can I handle the seasons of my life Well, Ive been afraid of changing cause Ive built my life around you But time makes you bolder Children get older Im getting older too Oh, take my love, take it down Climb a mountain and turn around If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills Well the landslide will bring it down If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills Well maybe the landslide will bring it down -fleetwood Mac
