i really dont think i'm missing out much at all.

i've heard about it. sounded pretty stupid.

and any images i've seen of it make it look even less enjoyable.

 

I've only seen like 1/4 of the movie, definitely was not into it as a child.

 

i looked it up on IMDB...it was actually released the very day of my birth! june 7th, 1985!

still looks pretty lousy though

 

I havent seen it either - nesta is smart.

 

It is a classic. I stand by my original shock and awe.

 

It's a dumb movie, but a good movie. Even if you have to be high to enjoy it.

I remember liking when they went into that sort of underground pirate ship looking place, but then thinking the rest was boring.

and of course the Cindy Lauper theme song, good old mid 80's, great for music/movies/and especially fashion

My birthday is June 3, but I was already 13 at this point, and probably grounded for getting stoned

But I find it crazy. I have seen The Goonies million of times. They used to always show it in DR in channel 10 dubbed in Spanish haha. I think I've only seen it in English once or twice. I used to love it as a kid.

Is it the movie where the kids are being bad in a house at the beginning and the break the pee pee on a statue of a guy? Because if that be the film, that's all I remember from it lol

 

hmm, I dont recall this, but maybe.

It's the one where the kids find this pirate ship in this underground cave thing and there's a treasure and sloth of the bad/mob/scary like family is really nice and likes baby ruths and has a superman tshirt? I think and I cant remember much of it. I havent seen it in years
