I've got the first Smiths album and You Love Us gatefold sleeve first single by the Manics.

I've also got a 12" red vinyl single of Jump in the Fire by Metallica, and it's worth a bob I think.

The black album, or the fist cack album as I call it, is apparently the 25th greatest selling album of all time....?

The only vinyl I own is All Things Must Pass (George Harrison...totally my favorite Beatle). I don't have a record player. I was under the impression I did when I bought it for $6. Still have yet to play it.... My brother has a John Lennon and Yoko Ono vinyl, lol. Not sure which one, but I think it's hilarious. He hates Yoko.

Nothing really worth mentioning. My parents never wanted me to touch the record player as a kid, because they had their own collections that I would get out and play and they're kind of anal when it comes to their music. They bought me a walkman when I was very young, a CD player and encouraged me to listen to stuff on my own.

If only I had a record player, I'd buy nothing but vinyls. I loooove the way records sound in comparison to cassettes and CDs.

My mom has the Rolling Stones' album "Sticky Fingers"
The album cover looks like this:

It has a real working zipper where the guys fly would be.
My mom never lets me touch this album though, or play with the zipper because she says "it's going to be worth money someday if the zipper is in good working condition" haha

In the old days everything electronic was bigger and more robust. You can still make a recording sound as good as that these days, but as technology becomes smaller so does the capacity of technology to harness and emiss the sound of the bass.

    Animal Collective - Peacebone EP

some awesome polka record my friend bought for me at a thrift shop

and something weird that I've only listened to once that I bought just because the cover was some guy jumping on a trampoline in his apartment and he was wearing crazy clothes and his hair looked like bear fur!

My parents have a huge collection of all kinds of music from the 40's-80's as well.

I got a bunch of old vinyls from my fiance's mum. Some are really cool, lots of Elvis and the Beatles, some James Taylor, Joan Baez.. But also some Barbra Streisand.

All the Capitol/Apple Beatles. Most of the Grateful Dead. All of Led Zeppelin. A couple hundred all together, I think.
