Well, we do need a government, and the planet will die quickly without some kind of authority. I don't oppose some government control, but the current government is doing a terrible job of it. In some ways, Canada is very progressive and we have a lot of personal freedoms, but in terms of foreign policy and economics, they've screwed it up badly. I have few positive things to say about the American government though.
They're idiots, and everything they touch turns to dust. Anything good that happens is without fail the work of a citizens, not governance, but by god will they take credit when things are going well. I understand this to be known as "patriotism"
my life's too boring. i hope the pocylipse comes in 2012 and the world goes into anarchy. thatd probably be pretty entertaining.
Oh yeah, I worship the government. I get fucked over by the man but still show my moral support. They will always win my favour. Seriously though, does this question need to be asked?
And if there was no government, the economic elite would take over... economic power is just as controlling as political power. The gap between rich and poor would get bigger, and there would be nothing to stop it. Even if the government shouldn't dictate our personal decisions, there needs to be something to control economics...but of course western capitalism will always fail.
no this question didnt really need to be asked but i was just wondering how many people on this site think there doing a good job. because i hope its easy to convince people its the actual revolution and to join while were marching and gathering people heading to all the government buildings, as they get more scared as we get more and more people. cant wait
the revolution is coming my friend. it is being organized as we speak. right now many people are spreading the word and when theres enouph people to start out then we will set a date a meet up. start going to rallies and getting on t.v. letting people know whats happening. do what john lennon did but way bigger and maybe not quite as peaceful. because so far thats not doing anything
Well the economic elite do rule us already, the governments are in their pockets. Workers rights, suffrage, all those things were won from the bottom up, study your history friend. Those things had to be taken from government, they were not given. Economic power-wielders have always had the balance of power, and in our present system, the economic elite and the government are synonymous. Taking up real self-government would be the first step towards ending that.
What I said was that capitalist governments will never work, and I do hate the current government. Yes, they are synonymous in our present system... the solution would have to be some major reforms, or total revolution, which has to be accomplished by the people. What I meant was that some kind of government is necessary...true socialism would give power to the people, and stop the economic elite from taking over, as they would if we got rid of all government entirely. Self-government doesn't mean no government.
yes there does have to be some form of government. but our current one is corrupt and only cares about money. so the only thing i see that can work the best is complete revolution. fix everything and create a new, smaller form of government. there will be no secrets or unfare privileges for the rich. we will raid the cia and area 51. we deserve to know what they know.
Our current government is a piece of shit. Wasting money policing the world, waring over unnecessary things and screwing the American people. No wonder the country's economy is going to shit (rising gas and food prices). They could be doing more to stop global warming too...
Liberal and Conservative governments will always be this corrupt...maybe a majority NDP government could begin to make some some serious changes, if it could ever happen. Won't happen this election, anyway. At this point, grassroots movements may be the only option...I don't think a complete revolution in Canada is the right thing, at this point in time. But at least we've got healthcare and some half decent social programs...we don't really appreciate that until we look at how much more fucked up things are in the US. I would say they do need a revolution, except Americans would manage to fuck that up too, and they'd be back where they started.
And what the f**king hell fire do you mean by that?! You think I support the government>!? Did you not detect the hint of sarcasm? Lol you can try but you're going nowhere fast. ..then again, you've got shit for brains posing as President, so I guess anything's possible. There's a difference between pessimism and realism. Without the authoritive structure of the government, anarchy would inevitably prevail.. and then what would be come of the 'secure man'? - (he who has settled for financial and personal security in his own life)>? If it happens, it happens; but I for one remain in complete and utter doubt. You planning on neutralising the Illuminati as well? iggy:
All you said was its highly unlikely, no i didnt detect any sarcasm. but of course i dont think you support the government, who in there right mind would. but this is what i was talking about. most people dont think it will happen because nothing close has even come to the surface since the 60's. so their just sitting watching everything fall apart, and if something does happen then they will help out. but way to many people are like that, so by the time everyone realises its now or never it will most likely be to late. And the secure man would be the same as the unsecure man. no special priveliges just for having more money and paying more to the government. im not doin this so i can be president or whatever im just trying to make a better system and free us. we will uncover conspiracys, everyone deserves to know what everyone else fucking knows. and if the illuminati exists then of course it will be taken down.
