Codeine

I just took 2 30mg pills of codeine i found in my cabnet dated back to 2002.
Was this a bad idea?

 

There shouldnt be any problem with that. codeine some good stuff, takes 2 much 4 me though. Oxy an Morph make me feel fine

 

It probably was a bad idea.
But why post the question in the Psychedelics forum? Codeine is simply narcotic filth - unless you really need it for physical pain, all it can do is space you out in a wholly negative way - and it is highly addictive.

 

well he posted it in the pharmeceuticals forum, sounds about right to me, codeine=pharm. Codeine isn't much fun for me, cause natural opiates make my stomach hurt.

 

i dont think medicine goes bad. atleast most kinds that is.....

 

medicine will go bad but it takes a long time under the right conditions, i once stole a bottle of 3 year old percs and they worled fine. i also heard that codeine gets stronger over time, i don't really beleive that, maybe thats a question for Ellis.

 

codeine does not get stronger over time, but there is nothing wrong with codeine from 2002. Some medications, especially tetracyclines, break down into poisonous substances after time, so be careful.

 

Should be fine, but the dose is pretty weak

 

I wouldn't say "highly." Mildly would be a better word. Most people don't really get all that much out of it to get addicted.

 

agree with MSugar on that one, codeine is fairly tame, and as long as the pills arent moldy or nothing they will be fine, and at >90% potency.

The 'bad idea' was "I found a pill and took it, is that good" statement at all, you should find out what something is going to do BEFORE you take it!!

 

When I take codein it's usually about 25 8mg pills I don't think 60mgs would do much.
