I have been looking into trying shrooms for a while now, and I think I finally got a connection. My friend says she can get me some at her school, but I dont know who the original source is. Normally mushroom dealers don't sell the poisonous ones right? I mean like idk, im just afraid im gonna eat poisonous ones because I don't know the person who actually picked them. lol i guess i am pretty paranoid. But do u think i should go for it or should i wait until i find someone who i really trust to get my shrooms from?

    I would not worry

yes alot of shrooms are posionous but chances are that who you get them from is eating their stash as well and they are still around.

You can also take a pic and check online to be sure they are good.

I agree that you have nothing to fret about. Chances are that they are legit. Chances are that if they are not legitimate, they are dried mushrooms from the grocery store.

The greatest danger is that an inexperienced picker mis identified a mushroom and you get a poisonous one from wild collected shrooms.

Some things to help put you mind at ease is check for little gold flakes in the bag and on the mushrooms. This is vermiculite from the farming. Its is a gfood sign because it means that you mushrooms were grown, not picked, thus eliminating the above hazard. Also, like unfocused said, compare yours to a picture. However, please not that mushrooms are hard to ID when fresh with a spore print. You won't be able to make a positive ID on dried shrooms. You can rule out the possiblity that you got something totally different.

    Cheers
