His contribution to music as a founding member of floyd was huge. He will be sorely missed!

i almost beat the shit out of my car when i heard the news. its so sad, we lost someone very special. i dont know what to say. it hurts so much. God rest his soul. but at least his music will live on. RIP Richard you were one of the best.

i've been depressed all day since i heard this. im only listening to pink floyd tonight in his memory (currenty on us and them)

he was always my favorite band member, whenever asked which floyd member I would hang out with I always said rick.

 

Shine on Rick, shine on, he was the only person who could come to Syd in the innocence in his songs. I can't believe how bad a decent day just got
