    redyelruc, I really like steppenwolf

If you're looking for an easy but highly entertaining and mind bending read I would go for The Dice Man by Luke Rhineheart. Its hilarious.

I also really like the Tin Drum by Gunter Grass. Its a bit confusing at times but its such a bittersweet, cute, frightening, funny, tragic, insane etc. story. I would recommend it to anyone. It is one book that still sticks in my memory. The characters are really charming.

    Perfume by Patrick Suskind.
The Horrific Sufferings Of The Mind-Reading Monster Hercules Barefoot, His Wonderful Love and Terrible Hatred by Carl-Johan Vallgren

Face-Eater, Steppenwolf is probably my favourite book of all time or at least the book I've read the most times.

I found it quite moving and interesting. If you like the quirky existential European novel with a twist, I recommend The Tin Drum, although it is far more outrageous and the main character is a midget as opposed to an old suicidal man.

I've read the Tin Drum and also one other by Grass, Diary of a Snail. Petty good, both of them really.

You should check oput the book by Goethe I recommended earlier, it's fucking beautiful.
