the neighbors were throwing out some Dale Carnegie books, which i promptly took. and my most recent purchase was a used textbook - physiology of sport and exercise, 3rd edition. the shipping was more expensive by like $2. total came out to around $7. a great steal
WE have a rockin used book store down here called Edward McKay's. I adore the place. They have the best societal outcasts working there. The music is always some indie music that I have not always been introduced to yet. I love the way its set up. I love the trading in system. It just makes me happy.
I'm gonna marry books... Don't think I can, watch me and I will... There is this used bookstore here and I can get really really good works of literature for really really cheap, I love that place... And red, I have some books for you I just need to get my lazy bum into gear and send them to you...
i also LOVE used books... and breakfast of champions and slaughterhouse 5 are two of my favorite vonnegut books....
I bought this one used book from a garage sale, and it had a pressed rose in it once. Another book I bought used had this kid's hockey clippings from newspaper articles from the late 80s in it. I read how much a carton of milk cost back then on the back of the articles and stuff. It was magic. I love used books too, but at the moment they don't seem to love me. I've been trying to find used books for my classes in bookstores, and it's not going so well. They just don't have too many French books laying around in bookstores in Ontario. I should really look for them online I suppose.
Haha... I am going too I just need to get it together and stuff, which I will this weekend, I have no excuses this time since I won't be working, and I must overcome the laziness!
On the road, I always trade books with other people. It is a great way to both get new books to read and to discover new writers you never heard about.
