one of my friends is going to be triping for the first time next friday and i know he has like minor tourettes or somthing (nothing too big he like has ticks and stuff sometimes) and i think he has a family history of it, and i know your not supposed to take acid if you have a family history of mental illness or mental illness yourself. so does this include tourettes? thanks in advance
I don't think that there is a clear answer to this question, it is debated based on theory to my knowledge. Some will say it might help his condition, some might say it could takes things for a bad turn. Drugs, wheter it is LSD or aspirin will cause some reaction in your body. Isn't tourettes a neurological condition and not a behaviorial disorder too?
You're not supposed to take acid with a history of mental problems because the acid can activate the illness if it's in your genes. If he already has the problem then it doesn't matter, and tourettes is different anyway. He'll be fine.
a friend of mine with tourettes has never been effected for either greater or worst under the influence of many psychedelics, including lsd and some RC's. But that's just one man. Let him make a responsible decision.
I have some tics and LSD on the come-up will often make me twitch, but it's nothing serious. I wouldn't say I have a "disorder" because it is just how I am, but if your friend is concerned about it, encourage him to enter into the experience with a clear mind and not worry about his tics. It will effect him as it affects us all, and it is up to him to make it the best he can.
ye thanks guys i told him about the danger and he said he wanted to do it anyway so its up to him i dont think hes really worryed i think he just has like minor ticks thanks to everyone who answered
