why is pcp nastier than ketamine?

what makes pcp a nasty dirty drug and ketamine an accepted popular drug? alot of members here into tripping and the into the psychedelic culture in general have tried ketamine, n many have it on their list of substances theyre dying to try... its also a very popular rave drug... i never hear anyone mention pcp here... theyre both dissociatives... I knw that PCP is more toxic than ketamine, however unlike heroin, meth and cocaine its not addictive so people can do it occasionally just like ketamine without sever damage... why did pcp get such a bad reputation? why is it popular in poor communities and ghettos? heroin, crack and meth i understand, people do for pleasure, to forget about their miserable lives, to run away... however pcp is a dissociative, theres no pleasure in that... i never tried pcp n i dnt want to, im curious though, if anyone could answer my questions it would really be appreciated.......

 

I have tried both and did not find either to my liking. Both are lousy drugs, and with the availability of so many vastly better and safer things around, I see no point in ever doing them again. That being said I think both kinda have a similar vibe to them but pcp is far more lucid, trippier and more interesting then ketamine - but both suck.

 

Because whenever you see a naked black man on "cops" you can bet PCP is involved. Unlike ketamine PCP allows it's users just enough functionality to wake up in jail.

 

LMAO! But i wanna know too. I'd be down to try PCP just once, and Im one of those people who have ketamine on the list, but that I would also wanna try once.

 

PCP you have a very high chance of ending up in cuffs...and naked.

I love a decent dose of ketamine.

I've only done dust, and let me tell you, the taste is fucking disgusting. Its suspended in solvents, and ketamine actually comes from the vet, so its a bit more reliable I'd say.

 

Dust was a popular rave drug on the East coast of Amerca in the late 90's. In an environment saturated with peace & love, it wasn't such a bad element to the scene.
It tends to have more stimulant effects on users than ketamine. It lasts a lot longer too. Being way fucked up on ketamine and being able to walk around probably wouldn't be a good thing. Dust lets you walk around when you're that fucked up, thust the interesting 'COPS' clips on youtube. Watching people on ketamine insn't nearly as interesting.

As mentioned above, ketamine tends to come from more legit sources, or cleaner labs, and the people that handle it are often in the rave scene and all that plur stuff that goes with it, so they don't try to fuck you over on it.
PCP tends to be manufactured by organized gangs, are motivated by lots of cash, and therefore make a legit (even if dirty) product, but once it trickles down to the small scale crackhead scene, who knows what's happening to the the product in the hands of smack/crackheads slanging it to get a new bag of dope or a new rock?
Also, there are apparently different types of pcp. The dust isn't suppost to be as dirty (got a heartfelt hug from a gangsta at the end of a rave who was on dust) but the wet is more painful for users (saw someone thinking he was dying because he couldn't breathe after smoking liquid laced oregano).

Well for one, its pretty damn cheap. Not as cheap as Heroin or Crack I don't think, but pretty close. Also, I know mad people from the hood who don't know much about psychedelics but know all about dust. I'm not exactly sure, but if I lived in the hood I know I'd be fucked up.

 

yeah i mean people there r not into trippin, u never see a gangster or a junkie droppin acid or smokin dmt, u never even see a gansgter shootin ketamine, however pcp has a good market in the ghetto, its kinda strange... ghetto drugs to me r cannabis, cocaine, meth and heroin... dunno about pcp though...

I honestly think it's just a matter of who has it. I think PCP is made in cities by gangsters who aren't really tight with the hippie crowd. In the case of dust, I think people just do it because it's available.

There just aren't common distribution routes that go from the source to potential users outside of the 'hood, and people from the suburbs who travel to the 'hood to get drugs are usually looking for addictive stuff like smack & crack.

Dissasociatives are appealing because they provide a bit of an escape from reality & whatnot.

I think thats pretty much bullshit. There was some documentary about dust heads, in Frisco I think, that spread a lot of misinformation about superhuman strength, and eating families and such.

 

theres a rapper called big lurch, the cops found him naked with tons of blood dripping from his mouth runnin down the street high on pcp, it turned out that he ate his gf, this story is real... however the super strength shit is bullshit, people on dust think they have super powers but they actually dnt, however it numbs pain, so a guy high on pcp can carry stuff heavier than usual...

 

PCP exploded onto the scene in Los Angeles during the 70s, mainly from crip blocks. A few explosions and naked drive by's later, it spread everywhere. As far as I know, LA, Philadelphia, and New York basically have the lock down on that chemical.
The reason it is considered dirty, is because people, at least in Philly, are selling tea leaves or dirt weed laced with various chemicals that are not PCP and calling it wet, a slang term for the real deal. And people are smoking it all the time, thinking they know what dust is all about. When really they have no idea, whatever they are smoking just makes your head hurt and your vision blurry. I've gotten wet from idiots and wet from Allegheney Ave in North Philly, and trust me they are not the same thing.

the super human strength thing from pcp is real and not real. i mean it numbs you out so it lets you overexert youself without feeling it until you come down. i use dxm for this reason sometimes actually and work out on it. i can always do more pushups and shit on dxm than not, even if its just 10 more, those last 10 make it count so much more. also pcp can induce religious experiences in some people. like how people trip out from ketamine and dxm. theres also a lot of analouges of pcp out there with slightly varying effects so that also leads to the different experiences. and like they said, how many naked black guys on pcp have you seen raging out on cops? doesnt that look like fun to you? does to me, i mean come on, thats partying hard. and people in the ghetto just like to get fucked up sometimes and tend to party harder than the average motherfucker. plus pcp last a long time. more bang for your buck you know?

 

Man like I just said this on another post.There is no other drug buy far threw the years that has gotten a worse reputation becasue of lies and urban legends then there is with PCP/Angel Dust none what so ever ! Shit alot of People are alot less afraid to shot up drugs and try hard drugs like Herion/Crack then they are to smoke Dust. I love dust hears my opinion if you can handle lsd,shrooms,Special K,etc then you can handle smoking Dust no poblem its actally the second drug that I have had the most fun using over the years other then LSD/Shrooms I have had some great times with my friends that still stick out today when we were all dusted. Nothing beats getting all dusted up with your Boys and just having a blast. Treat smoking dust just like tripping plan it out ahead of time and make sure you have time to spare. Like with LSD/shrooms etc you increase the chances buy so much you will have a bad experience if you use it in the wrong setting like at a party,school, when you know you will have to go home to see your parents etc. If you are smart and use it in the right setting it will be nothing but mad fun 99.9% of the time. Also the poster flyingsquirrel who said that every dam naked guy on cops is dusted made me laugh my fucking ass off posting that. Me and a few of my friends were just talking about that a few weeks back ago. As soon as you see a naked guy in cops out of control you don't even have to ask what drug he is on becasue you already know. No joke there has to be atleast like 10 to 15 different clips of nutty naked black guys all dusted on cops over the years that I have seen alone its amazing.
